Only periphrially related but I figured it better to post here than in the OT section SWB thread because it's full of uninformed plebs and I want more specific information/ opinions. The upcoming TPS/FPS hybrid Star Wars Battlefront is going to have a wave based Co-Op horde mode much like ME's, and considering the game runs on the same Frostbite 3 engine that ME:A will, I wonder if there are any useful comparisons, predictions or features about that game that can be gleaned from it, considering they will probably share some assets. I, for one, would really like the ability to switch between first and 3rd person on the fly.

not that I actually value the opinions of you lesser life forms. I will probably be taking some time off from MP quarians to play this game when it comes out in November, so expect a retirement and obligatory "ME3MP is dead" thread then before I inevitably succumb to my completely healthy and normal addiction to quarians and their body fluids within a few hours or so.

Actually that does sort of make me wonder if there'll be some sort of piloting in ME:AMP. I'd doubt it, but if they do it right it'd be fun.

Had a helluva time playing Starwars: Battlefront 2 with a friend of mine years back. I'd load into a bomber, he'd take shotgun. I'd fly it to the enemy ship, land in their landing bay (Which buggered up the enemy ships I got in the way of) we'd disembark and go to town.

Just hope I can get enough to get a decent comp together in several months. Moving is bloody expensive though. =/

... I'm honestly worried, cause I'm way more hyped about Battlefront than I am about ME4 MP. Maybe it's just the timing.

But I love what I see about Battlefront.

I don't suppose you'll be playing on pc, QMR?

Depends, but I think vehicles would add to it. Think a better version of escort missions we already have where you have to get cargo from A to B using a player controlled Mako while being attacked by enemies. The map would obviously have to be big enough to accomodate this, which wouldn't be a problem for Frostbite as evidenced by Battlefield's multi kilometer sized areas. Or just vehicles as usable but expendable assets during normal waves.

Battlefront 2 was indeed epic. I remember those days fondly.

unlikely. I'm a typical technological macguyver quarian, but their is only so much I can do with the salvaged PC components that I requisitioned from a dumpster, and it looks pretty demanding to run (my current rig is barely good enough for CS:GO on low settings). Plus I already have a PS4, soooo

But who knows? Maybe my console gets bricked before then and I decide to go Master Race in more than one way.

I see. Well, let me know if that happens, I'd gladly show those imperial scums that they can't even make a proper enviro suit who's boss together ;)

I seem to remember going through an awful lot of vehicles in either Veitnam or 1942. (Probably both)

Nothing like driving a jeep into the front of a tank then getting out, running behind it, laying mines, and then cowering in equal parts manic-laughter and fear. (Still dunno why that worked so well... /shrug)
