Like pick what aspect of the IP you'd want your dream team of developers/studios to work on.
Example:
1.) BioWare: Over All Story, and Concepts.
2.) Bethesda: World Architecture, Visual Design.
3.) Square Enix: Music and Interface.

1. Bethesda/Obsidian
Fallout 5 or 4.5.
Bethesda does the environment and bug testing, while Obsidian does the characters, plot, dialogue and quests.
DICE and Infinity Ward to make a My Little Pony sidescroller jump'n'run.
Imagine it.

I see lots of guns...
American McGee/Spicy Horse: Story, concept, and character design.
Team Ico: Gameplay/level design and overall creative direction.
For music I'm going to cheat and just ask for a power-duo of Jesper Kyd (Hitman, Assassin's Creed, Borderlands) and Michiru Oshima (Ico, LoZ:TP).
I don't know what they could come up with. But I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Oh and CDPR can publish it so we can get it DRM free. An Enhanced Edition six months later and free DLC on release.
Eh. That's not the way things work.
You wouldn't say "Toyota, BMW and Chevy should work together... they could build a vehicle that has high end luxury, towing capacity to pull a tank and get 40 MPG!" Because that's not the way it works.
Game development is a cost/benefit exercise. Yes, some studios have more talent in a particular area than others, but it's much more a reflection of what the studio decides to focus on for a game (at the sacrifice of other areas) that reflects the final product. Gaming history is littered with failures that try to do everything well and please everyone - it's much more effective to focus on a few key aspects of your design philosophy and deal with everything else as secondary.
I would have liked to see BioWare and EA contract Obsidian for an Avellone-lead spin-off title using the ME3 engine and combat system while they worked on Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Avellone left Obsidian last month, by the way.
PlatinumGames working with PlatinumGames to make all games be made by PlatinumGames.
Good question.
So in a perfect world...
BioWare and Obsidian. One would help the other, especially on the writing department.
CDPR and Paradox Interactive. Just to see the most political game ever made.
Square and Atlus. Because god knows that Square need to start making FF9 quality JRPGs again.
Beth and Obsidian. World + Writing in one package.
Or just Obsidian with anything.
In a perfect world of course... I doubt these teams would actually work well together.
Guest_TrillClinton_*
Obsidian for only touching design(NO IMPLEMENTATION AT ALL)
Brian Mitsoda as the lone writer
ID Software for an implementation
However if the chemistry is ****, the final project will definitely be ****. Don't also forget that waterfall method doesn't apply anymore these days. The development would have to be agile in nature.
All I know is I want Gust doing the music.
Hmm I'd like to see something like Studio Ghibli collaborating with like Square Enix and creating a RPG game.
Not sure if you're aware, based Ghibli JRPG:Hmm I'd like to see something like Studio Ghibli collaborating with like Square Enix and creating a RPG game.
Nope wasn't aware. Looks neat tho thanks for sharing.
Infinity Ward & Bungie for Call of Destiny
Hideo Kojima collaborating with Peter Molyneux with Ken Lavine and Chris Avellone doing the writing. Add Tim Schafer as well for good measure.
Metal Fable: Biofall
It would be the Top Gun of game devs.
I'd like the fallout games and sky rim games much more if they had better companions thus I'd like BioWare to write the companions for those games.
BioWare + Bethesda + Obsidian = EPICNESS
