I checked out the collector one just out of curiosity. You use the swarms offensively, which is a rare thing to see. Nice!

Played with you a few times on PC a while back. Seem to remember them being smooth games.

 

Insofar as guides, your videos are good, but for my part I find the Hall of Fame to contain hands down the best "guides". Although it can be a bit of a chore digging through tinypics to find actual vids.

 

One thing I think would be interesting to see is honest, good, commentary on why you're doing what you just did in the game as it's happening.

 

"Took RHA here instead of back there because it sets up the next RHA over here better" etc etc. Dunno if I've ever seen any vids that actually explain the more esoteric tactics, and the bugs that you can utilize, as it's happening. Real instructional videos essentially instead of gameplay with either just blathering commentary that's occasionally funny (Which seems to be most of what the people putting out guides seem to think works) or just someone else's idea of good music.

Watched a few parts of your videos. You do know how to play this game but I don't see your videos as a guide. Good guide is something like Dala Kaar said and they are seldom seen.

Thanks for the idea to put commentary. I think some people get annoyed with commentary or may be they just want to see how it is done. Will put annotation on some videos.

I havent watched much, but it doesnt qualify as a guide : it s not cut and there s no advices.

 

Gameplay seems honest, so that should qualify as nice gameplay examples

Yep, I've thought about that. I will precise soon which links go to a screenshot, and which ones lead to a video.

 

On topic OP, yeah, you can use effectively the Acolyte and Hurricane combo on many characters... this is the most powerful set of weapons in the game. But this is very repetitive and make all the gameplays look the same. Here a few suggestions to introduce more diversity, without sacrificing efficiency :

 

- Arc pistol on characters with Stasis, for easy headshots ;

- The batarian adept's main combo (Warp-Cluster) isn't cooldown dependant, so you could put heavier weapons on him (Claymore, Wraith, etc.) ;

- Typhoon on the turian soldier ;

- Some elements of role playing. Putting the CSMG on the collector adept for example would be quite a cost less change. With the racial bonus, this weapon isn't so far from the Hurricane in terms of efficiency. Also, I refuse to use the Acolyte on krogans and batarians, this little gun in such big hands looks ridiculous to me. Shotguns ! Assault rifles eventually, or Talon for the adepts.

Well, I guess if you have to choose a single weapon combo that's effective on every kit, then that just about does it, but it sure as hell isn't interesting, and it sure as hell isn't the best weapon setup for most kits.
