people that skip treasure rooms, people that don't use press to talk and have annoying background noise

Guilty as charged because BioWare in their infinite wisdom made ptt impossible when playing with a controller. I do make sure to have no background noise when using it, though.

Whew, I was afraid I'd see my gamertag here.  Then I realized, I rarely play threatening, and haven't ventured into perilous...yet...  (insert ominous music here)

Pretty much anyone who ever presses down on their DPad. Also the Inquisition Captain; that guys a scrub and has no business playing on perilous.

A guy on the PS4 leaderboards, PSN is Leon124 or something. He always plays with his mic on, even when nobody else is, so you can hear him screaming profanities whenever he dies (which he manages to do a lot despite his stratospheric promotions). He goes ballistic and tries to kick if one of every archetype isn't represented in the lobby, or, god forbid, somebody is the same class as him. I realized he was the same guy who flipped out when somebody tried to play as a duelist in a post I put in the PuGs thread when he did the same to me for joining as a necromancer when he was a necro. As a bonus, you can hear his wife nagging at him in the background.

Take solace in his unhappy life.

The other night was classic. I rolled the dice and joined a perilous pug with a 15 or so Katari. They all seemed to be newish, given how exciting treasure rooms and other normal things were to them. Sometimes it was a little sketchy but we eventually made it to zone 5 on Orlesian Chateau with red templars. Everyone grouped up in the room and I thought great we might have a shot at this. Then the elementalist, our only barrier, runs outside... Way outside and just starts casting firestorm and barrier standing completely still. I tried to tell him immediately that he was going to die and we were going to wipe if he didn't come back inside, but he said "NAW MAN my firestorm is strong and it will get me back up!!!lololol." And so all we could is sit there and watch him die as he allowed every single enemy to group up on him. After that nature took it's course and we were back in the lobby, everyone agreeing the wipe was caused 100% by this one person for no good reason... I excused myself after that...

I wonder if they even notice at the end of the match when you did like 90% of the score?

they do and they will leech after that or leave cuz they feel there not having fun, mostly they leech picking an assassin or some other papper thin character

I usally stay silent and don't like to say anything about my rank or my skills... now a days I just let my DMG speak for its self :P

I love it when a new player is telling me how to play not realizing I am rank 1 on XB1.

Not directed at you specifically as I have not played with you, but leaderboard rank does not denote skill. It simply means you have more time to put into it than everyone else. Also, damage numbers alone do not denote knowledge compared to a new player, as just Willpower promotions by themselves will increase your damage with you having to learn nothing about more in-depth game mechanics or min/max'ing like what people like Drasca and Yarpen get into.

Also, someone could just take a Virtusoso/Arcane Warrior with good gear and grind Perilous for 18 hours a day and end up high (or on top of) the leaderboards. In that example, that person's rank would most certainly not denote that they know how to play, for example, the Assassin or Reaver well.

Again, not saying that is you, per se. Just pointing out that your leaderboard position has nothing to do with how skilled/knowledgeable you may or may not be.

I thought you knew. Each time you promote, you actually gain an attribute point across your real life body. After promoting rogues enough you start being able to play the violin and solve Rubix cubes. When you promote mages you are able to turn down your friends when they ask you to the bar when you have work the next morning. And when you promote warriors you can sleep outside in a rainstorm and not get a cold and drink small amounts of poison to build up a resistance.

I'm not smart enough in real life because I haven't promoted enough, so sadly I don't know these things... I do know that your amount of promotions in DAIMP is directly related to how valuable a person you are in the real world.

In addition there are players with more promotions and less prestige because they didn't do all the challenges and visa versa so strength of the characters outside of skill or gameplay varies among people on the leaderboard with similar levels of prestige. So keep in mind not everything is equal. And never a minor issue is I will play really dumb at times so you have to check the sobriety of the player as well! :police:

Was playing a threatening game with a friend on lowbie characters when we were joined by two level 9ish pugs (keeper/templar) who ended up in the Fade and played really aggressively even though they seemed completely overwhelmed by the difficulty.  We left immediately after the game and started duoing perilous FC while waiting for more players, then partway through zone 2 the same people drop in on level 11 Templar and level 12 alchemist and die to the first mobs they see and cause us to wipe.

See, I enjoy pugging and LOVE new players but if people have to drag your corpse through a threatening match then please don't follow the exact same people into an even harder difficulty

Whew, I was afraid I'd see my gamertag here.  Then I realized, I rarely play threatening, and haven't ventured into perilous...yet...  (insert ominous music here)

Btw, please don't let a complaint like mine keep you from trying perilous.  You seem cautious and genuinely interested in learning to play well as a team in higher difficulties so I'd gladly barrier your butt in a perilous game :)  Inexperience is easy to work with but what ^^those^^ pugs did felt more like trolling than anything else.

I got booted from a PUG today for playing Templar. I guess they thought I was just there to steal all the demon kills.

To be honest...on a weekend day, my friend and me(mostly playing perilous), kicked every assassin and templar we saw immediately...we kept getting only templars and assassins...not the good kind though(maybe because that one weekend event, completing operations with templar, assassin, hunter etc.). they kept on wiping and going into fade in every zone and went to leaderboard without having 10 kills. it was crazy. we just got those two classes for like 5 or 6 games, went mad and handing out kicks...on another day, the same friend and me, got only bad or lazy arcane warriors, which we soon started to kick like mad people...

Concluding my name belongs to this list >.0

I had a leech archer in my perilous FC run.

He ran into the middle of enemies to disguise himself I guess and then died three times in zone one, and shortly thereafter in every zone from then on.

Is he the most annoying player? Nope.

That award goes to my two other PUG teammates, who couldn't seem to muster the fkin effort to highlight his name and hit R1 to kick him, despite my numerous attempts to suggest it over the mic.

I can solo with AW, so I even offered to ring the dragon gong while they danced around it, if they kicked this guy.

285 solo kills later......

I had nearly 32k XP And a terrible taste in my mouth.

Zinger: the archer readies up after the two other PUGs leave my fkin lobby.

OH BTW the original host, a really bad Avvar, wiped 3 times on zone one and left in shame, opening a spot for the leech.

I'm getting really tired of running into assholes!  -_-

I had a match with one jerk who I've run into a few times. He is always barking demands over the mic and insulting people when they don't do exactly as he says. We were doing a FC Perilous run and he kept going down. He ends up needing to be revived after everything is dead. Me and a pug go over to aid him. He starts demanding we just open the door. I decided to just obey, but the pug revives him. The guy loses his ****. Starts yelling and says "WHAT ARE YOU, STUPID?" I gave him a negative rep on Xbox and went on my way. Hopefully I don't run into him again.

Then tonight I joined a game in progress. It was just routine, I was a level 1 Templar. I noticed that there was already a warrior and they were missing a rogue, but I really wanted to try out my new Longsword of the Dragon. So I join and hear some guy complaining on the mic that I'm joining as a warrior. I see a warrior door and go to kick it open. Since I have awesome luck, it glitches and won't open. The guy on mic freaks out. Starts cussing and yelling that I glitched the door because I didn't join as a rogue.... I sent him a msg calling him an ******* and gave him a negative rep as well.

What the hell? I have never run into so many guys who are such jerks on mic.
