Ooooh so this is why I kept getting those random invites. I thought it was because I kept leaving on the "Allow people to see the videos you were watching" setting. Totally makes sense now why that guy started freaking out.

I'm disappointed to not see my name in this thread. I've earned my spot as a tyrant on 360.

Not directed at you specifically as I have not played with you, but leaderboard rank does not denote skill. It simply means you have more time to put into it than everyone else. Also, damage numbers alone do not denote knowledge compared to a new player, as just Willpower promotions by themselves will increase your damage with you having to learn nothing about more in-depth game mechanics or min/max'ing like what people like Drasca and Yarpen get into.

Also, someone could just take a Virtusoso/Arcane Warrior with good gear and grind Perilous for 18 hours a day and end up high (or on top of) the leaderboards. In that example, that person's rank would most certainly not denote that they know how to play, for example, the Assassin or Reaver well.

Again, not saying that is you, per se. Just pointing out that your leaderboard position has nothing to do with how skilled/knowledgeable you may or may not be.

yeah but gnrlly the top rank 3 players have a large knowledge base, and have a lot of skill...

but personally I am power hungry as all hell I want to be super sayian lvl 99 in this game.. I want to push the envelop and see just how far I can take my stats.... just how strong can I get...? how far can I go...

I've ran into you a few times while pugging. You must not have been in a tyrant mood on those occasions.  :P

I ran into this Shadohz guy once... Would you believe he thought he was playing My Little Pony? He kept going on about the rainbows coming out of his a** and that he had such a beautiful mane.

Needless to say, I blocked that weirdo quicker than a conversation about venereal disease. Noooo thank you!

(You're awesome Shadohz)

There was this one time that there was a known cheater that was being talked about objectively and not attacked in any way, but even though what was said was the truth reports were made and mods were brought in.  Posts were deleted for being "inappropriate language" and "thread derailing".

I think this is among the top of what makes an annoying player.  A cheater calling in mods for a forum that is ran by the company whose games he cheats on lol!

Do I win?

Doesn't Bioware frown on cheating?  Have they not banned people for missile glitching? That makes no sense to me. Looking for some logic in this equation. This forum makes no sense.

I'm sure your company would be miles better than the douchebags I just mentioned.  ^_^

Oh, you sweet, innocent child.  :P

Do you even Spirit Mark, brah?

Didn't think so.

B)  :P

invented spirit mark Broseph. Because I'm Harbinger.

This forum makes no sense.

Yup.

But cheaters have feelings too, you know. We should be super nice to them.

I got booted from a PUG today for playing Templar. I guess they thought I was just there to steal all the demon kills.

I almost got booted yesterday, I think for the same thing. I joined a routine game in progress. Didn't go down or do anything annoying. Didn't even kill that much, I was third on the scoreboard. I was very low level while everyone else was playing high level characters. Yet soon I had two kick votes. I got on mic and asked them to explain why they wanted to kick me. No answer. Two of them were obviously friends, so I figured it was them. They started messing around, blinking the kick votes. I just said, "I don't need this" and left.

Really mature. At least have the balls to tell someone why you are kicking them when they ask.

To be honest...on a weekend day, my friend and me(mostly playing perilous), kicked every assassin and templar we saw immediately...we kept getting only templars and assassins...not the good kind though(maybe because that one weekend event, completing operations with templar, assassin, hunter etc.). they kept on wiping and going into fade in every zone and went to leaderboard without having 10 kills. it was crazy. we just got those two classes for like 5 or 6 games, went mad and handing out kicks...on another day, the same friend and me, got only bad or lazy arcane warriors, which we soon started to kick like mad people...

Concluding my name belongs to this list >.0

You should give people a chance to prove themselves and not kick on sight just because of the character someone is using.

Most annoying players are definitely high ranked players who play perilous the same as we play routine because of promote system.

Situation:

I want to play PUG, but end up alone in a Lobby, so I wait a little, maybe someone joins. After a short time 3 others join. Three of us ready up, one doesn't ready up at once and gets a kick vote from one of the other two......  Seriously, give the guy time, they just joined, maybe they want to change their gear/chara first.

Patience is a virtue. f529a952.gif (I have generally too much patience  )

Specifically, I am not about to start saying these are the guys I don't like because I have had quite alot of luck playing with nice folks.

Sometimes I don't enjoy listening to someone speak, I don't enjoy what is coming out of their mouths etc. but I only get irritated when

A.  Someone leeches terribly and you don't know them (see know them, not know OF them).

B.  Starts yelling because "we are dying". It's so not important. It is a game. :)

AND Slightly C)  I don't think I am at the point where I couldn't use advice about something but feel free to keep your comments on "how to play" a charecter unless someone asks. Otherwise you seem like a know it all.

But, I follow up with that comment, isn't that life? There will be some people you like, and some people you don't. If your not gelling with the party and so long as they aren't dicks - you finish the round and you leave. Don't be a dick and you may make a friend or two.

Kill them with kindness... and possibly bees.

Kind bees?

I disagree.  People like that would do me a favor by kicking me.  I wouldn't want to play with them anyways.  I'll just find another group.

+ you can keep track of those kind of people by putting them on your block list.  When you see a name pop into the room that is auto muted then you know its time to dish out your own skulls.

I joined a lobby once as a hunter as that was what I was playing in the game before, even before I had a chance to change it which I was going to another hunter starts screaming at me about how they already have one. I didn't take to kindly to that so started saying give me a chance I was going to change and he doesn't have to be such a dick about it and got kicked. I blocked him so I'd remember when he came up again with the mute icon.

Came across him a couple months later when I've finished my weapon collection and I unblock him so I can see how he's doing (he had no idea about the altercation we had before and was still the same screaming boy before) and he tries to tell me there's no such thing as unique dragon weapons :') Bless him. I didn't say a word and just laughed in my head the whole game.

I took too much gratification from not bragging XD

That's how people get rank 1 on the xbox one ;) Getting carried and from leeching.

Medallian,  you and I had a discussion about this over the weekend.  =)

Gya knows this already, but I refuse to play with public game leechers and would rather fail a run and start over again. Just thinking about it winds me up. How can one be that selfish when playing a game, know your place instead of taking advantages of others.

Well said
