I purchased Mass Effect 2 via steam.
I was able to get into Mass Effect 2, I setup some options than tried to exit. It crashed my computer so hard that I had to hit the reset button. Then on the boot it hung again (it's never done that before). I removed power then restarted the machine. It booted into Windows 7.

Next I tried to run the config utility and it keeps crashing. Windows 7 comes up with the dialog that "Mass Effect 2 Configuration Tool has stopped working."

Here are my specs (from Nvidia control panel). Any ideas? So far I am rather disappointed with this game. I guess I need to wait for patch 42 or something.
