I just finished my 9th playthrough of ME3. It struck me that if they want any kind of "tie" back... Let EDI come with you.

The whole point of changing the setting is to honor our ending choices. What about the majority of the audience who in all likelihood who picked Destroy? If anyone is going to show up for a cameo it would be Liara due the fact that she is next to impossible to kill and will live for 1k+ years.

Indeed. EDI can be dead in one of the endings, so that wouldn't work.

Sorry, but for all of my Shepards, EDI is dead.  Oh and I'd rather see Grunt than Liara.  Krogan can live just as long if not longer provided they aren't killed first.

Jenkins should totally make a comeback.

Well, given that's supposed to take place far removed from time and space from Shepard, it could be a descendant.  If so, invert the joke and have he or she be a permanent squadmate.  You think they are going to die, but then...just kidding!  :P

Not if they made an EDI clone Before the Reaper war and launched Before the Reaper invasion. Everyone seems to be under the impression that the collonization effort in Andromeda was launched after the Reapers were stopped... Somehow that maeks 0 sense to me. Absolutely no sense at all.

All Resources would be needed for the reconstruction of the milkyway and there is 99.9% of the Milkyway left to explore....

The only reason was for it to be a Noahs ark launched Before the Reapers invaded. (Top secret mission that noone hears about because otherwise the Reapers might have intervened)

MP lore said they made a lot of Mini EDI's in that infiltrator rig she had, lesser AI's limited to the harware of that construct, but still. A fullblown EDI clone would have been possible in a ship.

Since you have left the galaxy, none of the endings matter to you. You will never know what happend. And even if you have decided what happend, it doesn't make it any less possible, sicne this crew wasn't part of the "ending" in ME3.

Are those infiltrators actually AIs... or just VIs? I thought they were just advanced mechs.

EDI only happened because the Illusive Man doesn't give a **** about any laws. And she was only that advanced because it was Reaper tech he stole. And it's computer housed a whole room on the Normandy.

All squadmates could die during the beam run. So no ME3 squadmates will be on the team because the appearance of any of them would invalidate someone's choices.

EDI died in all the run I had the strenght to end (I usually stop playng after killing Kai Lang. Than I reload and party with the crew.). And I have really no interest in see again the p0rn Pinocchio of ME3.

I didn't like how she became a sexbot, interested in becaming more "human" out of the blue and end up in a (creepy) relationship with Joker. All that just to be a moral blackmail for the destroy ending.

The only character that may came back for MEA is the writers pet Liara. And I really hope is not the case. I'm tired of her being always there.

Thane or Tali, both died in my game, so I think they are the obvious candidates to come back.

Death is less of an obstacle than you might think with BioWare ... it was possible to get Leliana killed in DA:O for instance - but she's in DA:I nonetheless.

Grunt, EDI, and Liara could all potentially be alive.

EDI would be either too obsolete OR "she" would have upgraded her programming and hardware soo much to the point that "she" wouldn't be EDI anymore.

Liara would work, too. Grunt would work if it weren't for that fact that he could have been killed in both ME2 and ME3

EDI is computer.  My buddy has the same rig from 07.  It obviously has a new processor, vid card, motherboard, cooler.. Only thing the same about it is the case and a few of the original fans.

So even if EDI is in ME:A which I doubt -- It wouldn't be the same EDI

If the colonists leave the Milky Way during the course of the Shepard trilogy, which seems likely considering Andromeda was probably chosen as the setting to side step around having to deal with ME3's greatly diverging ending results...none of Shepard's squadmates could return.

I don't think anyone from Shepard's squad could remain alive BUT maybe asari child of Samara or Liara? Especially for Liara fans, it could be made with Shepard. I would love to see Grunt's kid.

Not to mention the sheer number of players who picked destroy.

BioWare set the game in Andromeda for a reason; to write themselves out of the corner while avoiding canonization of any of the endings.

Edi is dead in my ME and the only way she would be there is if you don't destroy reapers and then your squad abandons you for andromeda. I suspect that idea would ****** the hell out of most players. I would be disgusted if she showed up in the new game. In fact, I think we should leave all synthetics of the milky way in the milky way. There was nothing but trouble with them. Take then to a new galaxy and you get more trouble probably with new races.

It would take 571 years to get there, Liara wouldn't even be in the Matriarch stage.

Liara is possibly dead. I don't want another Leliana. We should focus on making more fans happy, not only on making us happy.
