I am from Germany and have played with US-guys.
So the criteria is not region - it rather is the QUALITY of the connection?

Moreover, I have always wondered if the player-progress-level is
of ANY importance  (to pool begginers and veterans).

Moreover, I have an origin friend who has problems finding gold lobbies,
whereas I have never problems with that (we both are from Germany)
so could it be that the "personal connection speed" can be an obstacle for him?

Moreover, does anybody know why "rubberbanding" can be such a great problem
in DAI MP and doesn't seem to occur in ME MP ?
(lag seems to show in a different way here - if there is any).
I can imagine that it has something to do with the KIND of data being exchanged -
but maybe someone knows it more exactly.

People from Germany hosting tends to give me laggy games. At least you're not from Australia.

The netcoding sucks. On-host everything is Working as Intended™. Can't get mad, right?

Rubberbanding not in ME3? Are you serious? ME3 rubberbands so much that not even moving or getting in cover doesn't fix it it.

I´m under the impression, that the MM just drops you into the first lobby it can find, irregardless of region and connection speed. But I could be wrong here ( and probably am ). Rubberbanding isn´t much of a problem during the daytime, but play a game at around 4 am and you can easily get a host down in australia. It ain´t fun. Btw, now that I know you are from "Schland", I will be way more chatty next time we play together.

seconded - if you play during daytime (in Schland ;)  - I'm in Germany too) the lag is moderate if there at all (because you are thrown into matches with other European hosts so the MM is usually better)

btw - if you use hard cover the lag stops for a bit but when you leave it and start moving: hello again rubberbanding :(

The few times where I had it, hard cover didn´t stop it at all. One sec I´m in cover, the next somewhere on the other side of the map.

I mean rubber banding in terms of "not being able to run side by side"
and to be pulled backwards or to the sides.

I have never had this in ME3. definitely not.

only things like slayer phase Disruptor delay, etc.
and this is different from DAI

they're two different games based on two different engines with two different match making systems - so yes, the lag is experienced differently as well

DAIMP: i.e. not being able to move forward properly (other than jumping the whole time), match not loading at all, narnia etc.

ME3MP: i.e. delay of power use, if you stand still and the image is shifting back and forth (like when you close one eye and then the other you see different angles)...

Match Making in ME3MP sucks. I always get stuck with really low N7/Challenge Point players who have no idea what to expect on Gold. The thing about me is..I ONLY CHOOSE which games I play..I might Lobby surf for something like 20 minutes before deciding which game to play. If I drop into a Game In Progress..I alway's leave it. I have been fooled waaaaaayyyyyy 2 many times by a decent looking PUG lobby  ( They must have had access to them Internetz ) and found some build ideas weapon/power combos yet have no clue how to optimize them.

As if N7/Challenge points mean anything. I have been in lobbies with N7 3000+ and CP's of 50000+ sporting BotB's and Lone Wolf's who died every wave and never gelled. And Carriers/Reegars didn't help either.

N7 and Challenge points do mean something when you enter lobbies hosted by N7 100 / Challenge Points 750 Level 10 Novaguards

with other N7 200's /Challenge Points 1000 combined..ALL THE TIME. I just surf until I find at least 1 decent looking other player.  I know N7 and CP points really don't mean not that much..but they are Tell signs of in-experience. The other night an N7 1000 / CP 10,000 kicked the hell out of me and another certain BSNr in a game.

It is true that some N7/CP does tell of how expereince the PUG might be (if they are earned), but on PC the credits and CP can easility be hacked and then you just level up your N7 by buying packs.
