Indeed, we are playing the invaders and Bioware will make it look like we are righteous while we murder the natives because "Humanity is The Best and Cerberus was Right!"
We're not the only MW race doing it though

If you consistently subscribe to the idea that all protagonists must be good guys than you cannot possibly enjoy Breaking Bad.
Yes. You will be the bad guys. To be honest I'm bored of being the good guy. Let's mix things up.
If nothing else you can at least be a nuanced bad guy with a moral compass. You just have to work harder to rationalise bad deeds.
I'm little worried about this too, colonialization isn't that positive thing after all.
What's wrong with colonizing? Ya, we know from the devs that there are new alien species in that galaxy, but who knew beforehand?
You see land, you go explore it, find natives, get surprised, see that there is room for you, you settle down... then others come in as well and start a war with natives later, but that's not the point.
The Milky Way is being colonized, moving colonization efforts to a new galaxy is not that strange. Are we invading? Were humans invading Batarian space when colonizing worlds in the Milky Way?
Who cares if there were other alien species that were closer to a habitable planet than we were initially, we got there first, so
.
Edit: Another way to think about is- Imagine if a large land mass on earth had no people on it. A nation goes exploring and finds it, should it ignore the large land mass just because another nation is closer to it? If there are people on it, at least you can open trade and expand knowledge by contacting them, then move on to some other land mass with no people on it to colonize.

Just because we are colonizing worlds doesn't mean we are necessarily colonizing other races. Would it be unethical to "colonize" Antartica (assuming no international laws or treaties existed forbidding it)? Or say to build a colony on the bottom of the Atlantic ocean? Or for China to build a colony on the moon before the US did? Nobody owns the moon.
Who cares? It's been way too long since we last did the whole conquest thing.

Mi arcabuz está listo.
We also could be the civilization that saves the natives from the Reaper threat in Andromeda.
I'm interested to hear just what the 'Khet' are. The leak gave the impression that they're a race of outlaws and bandits but I do wonder whether they're more than that.
That is assuming the leak's true.

The problem is in the past only select groups of humans had the pleasure of invading unknown lands where they didn't belong. It's about time we let the rest of humanity experience being unjust conquerors. I'm all for it. If possible someone should model their MC after Columbus.
Morality is subjective. OP's moral reasoning in particular seems completely arbitrary. Territorial rights to unclaimed planets determined by galactic origin? Wat?
Only select groups of humans had the pleasure of invading others? If we are talking large nations, sure, but tribal warfare and a clan invading another clan's territory has always been around.
Khet's, in the North East of England at least, are sweets.

There aren't going to be any Reapers. They were the reason for the ME3 ending, only the Catalyst could Convert, Synthesize or Destroy. They were part of Shephard's story and that story is ended. There will be no Reapers.
Only if we lose.
History is written by the victors and all great empires have the luxury of false memories.

I agree. If the leak is true, I suspect that the Khet will be trying to dominate / enslave as many planets in the Helius cluster as possible.

I really hope that BioWare doesn't go with this route.
I have nothing against the notion of the Milky Way refugees colonizing Andromeda; in fact I would welcome the moral ambiguity of it. But I am kinda worried that BioWare is going to whitewash the refugees and turn the natives, the Khet in particular, into one dimensional villains for the PC to slaughter wholesale.
It would be cool if the Khet have a legitimate grievance against the Milky Way colonists; maybe a Krogan colony attacked and slaughtered a small Khet population to get at the resources they held; but the leak doesn't seem to paint them in a nuanced light. If anything, the Khet seem to be the 'Not-Batarians' of the new galaxy, a horde of slavers, racists, and general antagonists that are only there to give the player something to shoot in the face.
Manifest Destiny....Milky Way style foo!!!

I don't know How the Khet will be portrayed, but The leak statesI really hope that BioWare doesn't go with this route.

Nope, expansionism is awesome.

Dis a jackmove! Break them resources!!!

10/10 Putin approved.
Seriously, no matter who we fight in the game, aren´t we the foreign invaders? Even if we settle an empty planet and other races discover it later, don´t they have a bigger claim on the planet since well, we are not even from the same galaxy?
History is written by the victors, so "good guys" and "bad guys" is all subjective.
Yes, we're going to be the invaders from another galaxy

Where do you get this idea that we are invaders from? Just because we are there? Maybe we have other easons for being there. Remember that Bioware have stated that its a long time since me3. Much could have happend.....
