Much like ME3 there are a lot of great players, the thing that distinguishes between the great players and the amazing players is the ability to not only play at a super high level but also to keep the rest of the group alive if they are not as good and the patience to play at a high level and adapt to the rest of the groups play style of that game.
If the rest of the group are chest/pot hunting, then the amazing player also chest/pot hunts but makes it all easier due to his/her great play. The amazing player will put up with new or poor players and within reason drag teams to victory but not by just letting everyone die their foolish deaths and then soloing but by raising, letting player contribute and making polite suggestions if they have the mic.
Also like ME3 there are a lot of people who think they are amazing but who really are not and a lot of people who down play their abilities that are really really good players.

Lots of laughs and some realtalking makes this game so much less Grindy.
I listed people also who have taught me a lot about the game, from ambush audacity to ranged attacking dragon on tower, to certain fun little glitches I'm not going to mention.

Oh, wait, I guess that first link in my signature kind of outs me as a liar.
Edit: This post won't make sense until the next time I put "Krogan Lust" back into my signature.

I played with myself one night. It was amazing, I was amazing.
But did a Druffalo interfere with your 'soloing'?

I was just thinking, "What about the desire demons?" And then I remembered there aren't any. What happened to them, anyway?

Too risque? Not like it stopped Bioware in the past.

Sure I'm forgetting a bunch:
Beerfish- Trolls a good buddy of mine and that alone makes him amazing. He's also as solid as a PUG can be. He'll even bust out a level 20 Keeper if he thinks the group needs it. Oh, and his gamertag is greatness.
Martin Sparks- Hilarious Canadian who plays all the characters equally and does some absurd builds for fun. His hook&tackle antics always give me a laugh. He got himself into the top 20 on the leader-board before getting his first superb HOK ring.
Snakebite MDK- Probably the best player I've played with. Have learned a lot from this fellow. He's from the North West which leads to some very entertaining banter.
Courtnehh- Was first person to reach out to me on BSN. Sent me a PM that he was going on vacation but that'd he'd hit me up when he got back. Sure enough he did. We havn't played too much but when we do its always good times. Typical, grumpy Britt. Anyone who's ever played with him knows that, though.

I can say this because I've watched him play a fair bit from when we were both unranked on leaderboards to him being top 10 now, and I've just hit top 40 . If It wasn't for a family and job I'd probably definitely play more but that is beside the point, this isn't about me but who imo is underrated in regards to damp players who just gets who is versatile imo and plays with everyone regardless of communication or skill levels. I asked him once through message correspondence on xbox one why he never uses a mic and he flat out said, "Actions speak louder than words."
And I couldn't agree more, especially with the amount of times he's carried pugs in perilous to extraction. What's even more impressive is the fact that he doesn't have any actual friends he relies upon to farm promotion, i just find him mostly in perilous pugs grinding it out with casuals rather than other similarly ranked guys.

It's difficult to ascertain at times from pugs who is actually good or not at damp due to gear and promotions, but if I had to say who I thought was the most reliable and consistent when it comes to successful extractions with all types of classes I'd have to say it's someone named death2allweaboz.

Funny you mention Death2AllWeaboz! I know he's high on the boards and have friends who have played with him, but I've never actually had the opportunity. Too bad.

(Inb4 inevitable backlash)
In terms of pugs, Eevaranshee is pretty damn good. They're sitting in the top 5, so I'd expect a level of OP-ness.

I once came across Medallian then realized it was just a mirror ... >.>
I always thought the view was the same if you weren't Number One.
I guess this view isn't so bad after all.

It must be lonely up there with just yo' bad self for company!

Being on xbox 360 I don't meet many people I recognize from here but maybe i'm just not paying attention. Most of the 360 leaderboard all knows each other to some extent. I'm not on the leaderboards because I stopped playing for a long time until Dragonslayer came out. As far as amazing players go. Anyone who talks and jokes during a PuG match is good in my book.

Aside from them, there have been tons of other cool people that generally made for good times... Drinking games with PenguinFetish and apocalypse_owl. Randomly teaching along with lspan and her friends. Getting to hear the sheer joy and enthusiasm of new players with which Derek Hollan brought me into a few matches.
I guess I don't see amazing players as being the most skilled ones. It's the ones that make you want to call in late to work so you can play just a couple more matches or realize you forgot to eat because you're enjoying yourself too much.
Sadly, I don't see much of those anymore. The times I get to play are so odd very few are online except deathly silent PUGs.
Makes me glad I recorded so many game videos lol.
