I seem to appeal to... well, odd folk. Apparently, I have a "wondrous intonation". I am still not even bloody sure how exactly to take that, and I've heard it a few times now. Makes me wonder if I caught the attention of the Intonation Cult somehow and now they are planning to harvest my vocal cords to add to their shrine...

In terms of pugs, Eevaranshee is pretty damn good. They're sitting in the top 5, so I'd expect a level of OP-ness.

 

He seems like he understands the game.  I don't know if its true but I heard hes just a PC cheater and was busted with proof.  Being good =/= having to cheat to play.

 

If thats true then nothing he says matters.

Drasca doesn't cheat.  He actually goes way deeper into the math and testing than most of us are willing to.  He uses strategy and does play very well.  While he may troll people on the boards, he does take the time to teach newbies.  That being said, he does whine at times....  That's when i give him my digital back hand.  lol.

A fair point. To try to redirect things back to discussing awesome people and not negative things, I have deleted my posts that were off-topic. I'm hoping others follow suit.

that's the one and I appreciate that someone does it -- I've been the beneficiary more than once.

 

Edited to add:  on the boards, I've never played with him since we're on different platforms. I can't speak to that experience at all.

I've come across many amazing players in DA, but I always forget their names (memory like a goldfish) even though some were for sure from the forums. And by that I mean that they (apart from knowing how to play) are helpful, revive, get pots and treasure rooms and generally runs with them are smooth. Because of region lock and the specific hours that I play, they are mostly the same players... gotta start remembering those names. 

 

As for Drasca, I tend to turn away his game requests most of the time, because somehow I am always playing with friends at those times. Sorry dude. But in the games we've played, he's been nice and helpful (despite what he says, he revives! Even my stupid spawn rushing reaver ), he def gets more bad rap than he deserves.

Yep, I ran into him just yesterday and played a few pretty smooth perilous games until I could promote my Duelist. When you pug perilous on PC a lot, you will inevitably run into him at some point.

Just bumped into him/her earlier, running a level 6 Avvar in perilous and dominating everything. 2 other top 50 leaderboarders as well. Ridiculously easy. I got kicked afterwards, presumably for sucking.

I know this is one very old thread that has not necessarily been focused on topic for part of it, but I just want to use it as an opportunity to show a little gratitude. I have complained a lot on this forum over the last 10 months or so about the matchmaking, lack of players, divided playerbase and whatnot which have always affected my game experience negatively, however, since I have gotten this far on the Leaderboards and been there for so long, maybe things haven't been that bad after all. Chances are I will still complain about those issues, but I ought to show gratitude towards the awesome people who have played, carried, taught, chatted and shared good moments with me in this game.
