Well... nowadays, everyone seems to be like; "Why to have any SP?", "No more alien romances!", "We should be the vilain!", "Don't do any romances at all!", "All I need is PVP!", "Do we need a plot?".
I can't believe my eyes. What happened to this community?
And people are asking, what is destroying the old BioWare. We souldn't be blaming just EA and look in the mirror instead.

Nothing really. One teaser trailer gets released and suddenly people are already thinking it's going to be an awful game and act like they know what they're talking about. Then SP people and MP people are practically at each others' throats because they disagree about certain things (mostly MP people started trolling SP people but people took the bait in a serious way) it's pretty ridiculous. I don't have enough popcorn for any of this.

whahhh? The BSN has been toxic for a long time. I think it reached its peak with the "Retake Movement"...then puttered off for a bit. But that festering boil of ugly never completely faded....it is now found something new to be displeased with....so now it is slowly returning to the surface.
The BSN is a cesspool of negativity....just gotta look past it and find the beautiful rainbow turd floating in that sea of diarrhea.

All of these seem like perfectly defensible positions to have. Some people might like multiplayer a lot more than singleplayer. Others think the concept of alien romances seem far fetched or that romances in general have been poorly executed. Some want to be someone other than "the glorious savior," and others just want to create a story of their own. Or maybe, everyone has their own annoying prejudices. It doesn't matter, this is a general discussion forum, and as long as there are reasonable discussions happening then everything's fine.
I don't necessarily subscribe to one or any of these beliefs, but I won't criticize anyone else for having them. What I will criticize is attacks against one another and endless meta-complaints. We're all guilty of it, and it won't stop by just looking in the mirror. I'm sure everyone here wants the best for BioWare and Mass Effect, but exactly what that means varies from person to person.
If you want discussion about different subjects, make it yourself. It's an open forum.
romances are a lot more nuanced than "hey, I might be a one man army but I have feelings too".
Bioware games haven't really aren't much more nuanced than that, which kind of puts a big limitation on them every time they try and make me feel something.

this is what happens when you announce a game that will be released in about two years from now. They could've announced a remastered trilogy for next gen to keep us entertained for a bit while they keep feeding us tiny tid bits of the next game in the series so we remain interested. just my two cents on it. Announce the remastered would mean They or someone else would work on it. If you don't like the opinions that other people have, it doesn't mean that the community has had something happen to it. It means that you don't like opinions different than your own. No amount of looking in the mirror on our part is going to change that, so your entire premise seems pointless.
Really? Everyone? I seem to recall posting in some of those threads and decidedly not declaring such things.
I'm hoping it'll settle down a bit as the excitement of the announcement does.
We also suddenly have a lot of MP people thrown together with a lot of SP people. It's almost like two different cultures.
Edit: Not that people can't and don't like both. I'm one of the people than can. It's just different general groups.

Yeah... no. BSN is not toxic or a cesspool of negativity. Repeating this argument won't make it true.
Compared to the rest of the internet, especially some of its darkest corners, BSN is positively polite, well reasoned and constructive.
A tiny minority being unhappy and being very vocal about it doesn't mean all of BSN is bad. Most troll attempts are harmless and funny.
BSN is not perfect, it certaintly could be better... but it is definitely above average.

Beside, I can bet anything that Even if with a remastered, If they didn't announce the game, the forum there'd people being angry that Bioware didn't show 'NME' and that They focus on remastered instead of new games.
Basically, what ever Bioware would've done, people would've complained.
Very true but this new ME game should be out by the end of this year, in my opinion...I mean they showed they were working on a new ME game last E3...so it will be three E3's that will come and gone before the game is released. Is that normal or unheard of?

The people that complain are always the loudest, even if they are like 5 - 10% of BSN, maybe even less. I haven't been active here long, just since DA:I and i can honestly say that i like it here. It is much better than some of the other forums i have attended.
