I was thinking about how on earth could the Tempest Starship travel across galaxies and something came to my mind. Mass Relays. Not the ones we are used to but miniaturized ones. At least the core of them.

"Mass relays function by creating a virtually mass-free "corridor" of space-time between each other. This can propel a starship across enormous distances that would take centuries to traverse, even at FTL speeds"

Those sentences would probably explain the "corridor" we see in the trailer happen so quickly by just selecting some planet coordinates.

"When a relay is activated, it aligns itself with the corresponding relay before propelling the ship across space."

That would mean that instead of alligning itself with another relay, the ship alligns itself with the specific coordinates chosen on the galaxy map.

Basically after some centuries or millenia (if Destroy was chosen) or years/centuries (if Control was chosen), the MW species reverse engineered the Mass Relays and the Citadel MR network controls after reconstructing them. (Since they rebuilt them, they got to know how their inner workings were.)

They will also reverse engineer Reaper dreadnaught FTL drives in order to also be able to travel at least at 30 light years per 24 hours or more.

That's how I think Bioware will probably explain how on Earth could they travel to another galaxy just like that.

But the thing will be how believable will it be. To me, so that it can be believable, Control has to canon since with that ending, the reapers are helping you so that would mean that technology would evolve much more quickly than with the destroy ending.

Anyway, do share your thoughts.

Nah, just retcon everything back to the stone age, no explanation needed.
