While I'm happy with the 2 options in ME, I was wondering if we could have gay romance with aliens. We have lesbian romance with Liara and a bunch of alien romance among straight males and females. I'm hoping to see at least one option with an alien for the gay choices.
Women have gotten all the 'alien-y' aliens. Asari and Quarians barely count appearance wise.
Honestly I'd rather not have aliens as gay male options, but that's just me.
If we have a quarian male romance option I would be SO happy.

Do you want them to have mask on or not? Since it's hinted that they are slowly adapt to the regular air, especially if you side with the geth.

But I must admit my "dream" is a male Quarian LI, now. Preferably open to female too.

Well, I refuse to accept that picture as what quarians look like under their masks, so sure, if BioWare's willing to build a face that's more alien, and more lore-friendly (I distinctly remember reading that hair was UNIQUE to humans, and, especially for quarians who've lived their lives in environmental suits, hair seems like it'd be impractical at best), by all means, a quarian without a mask would be fine. But that's the caveat - ignore the appearance of that photo and start from scratch with designing the quarian face.
Generally I prefer human LIs, so I wouldn't mind if I ended up with two human options again, but I wouldn't mind a gay or bi male Drell.

This. I don't mind that much the concept of the photoshopped photo (beside how ridicolous is the fact that the Bio team didn't even lost more than a few minutes to think about Quarian aspect under the masks 
) but it really need tweks and changes. Hair gone. At least if similar to human hair. Some kind of "tentacles" like the Asari ones? okish.
Quarians really need some more alien features than that photo. 
Even if they can go not-too alien look. Asari are, after all, just blue woman with tentacle on their head. So even if the Quarian kept more "human" feature, they would still be lore friendly. Surely need some work.

If I had a choice, I'd like to see a gay male salarian (a la Kirrahe) or gay male quarian (a la Reegar). Tough soldiers. For a lady alien, I'm over asari. I don't mind having one in the group, but it would be nice if she wasn't defaulted to a bisexual LI. I'd like to see a lesbian turian or (and this will never happen, but I'd love it if it did) a lesbian krogan battlemaster. Having her buck the whole 'you need to breed for the species' thing. I'd love that.
To clarify, I didn't mean that it would be the focus of the character's story. Just that she wouldn't give two shits about that expectations and would just be a badass, lady loving, ass-kicking krogan battlemaster. That's more of what I was thinking. Not that we'd have to have a sit down with her krogan father and explain why she shouldn't have to breed.

They don't have a sexuality in a social sense. They don't experience romantic attraction and they don't have sex recreationally.
I personally want gay characters that happen to be gay and don't have any negative connotation with being gay like at all. I get enough of that in real life.

They feel like the elves of the ME universe in that respect. Give me some alien beef. Or, if I'm getting a Drell, at least make the human Vega proportioned instead of the default one.
I would prefer a turian romance. If not, my second pick would be a quarian, then the third choice would be a drell.

quarians are the space elves, drell are more of a one note species "badass assassins" maybe that's because the only drell character to get significant screen time was one.
