Agreed on Mass Effect being the best game series - Especially ME1

As for TES series....well, Skyrim is by far the most dull and lifeless of the titles, in my opinion -

Morrowind

Daggerfall

Oblivion

Skyrim

Arena - Generic fantasy before the universe was expanded into something unique with Daggerfall

Fallout 1 and 2 are also great - What other game allows you to be a Post-Apocalyptic pornstar!?

I never touched Oblivion on PC  :P so can't help you there. You should try and get that sorted out though, Oblivion is ******* amazing IMO. Definitely get, if even one expansion. I'd recommend Shivering Isles, haven't played an expansion that has beaten it.

I agree with Skyrim. But in terms of the overall story and the protagonists role compared to it's prequels, it's inferior. Everything was amazing in the game world and dat immersion. Tbh, I played Inquisition once and beat it quickly. I don't remember anything of worth other than the characters we saw in Origins/DA2. So, that gives you my opinion on Inquisition.

MGO is amazing, never even made my PC drop a frame at maximum. I also liked how you could pick the mods you wanted without it installing something that isn't of worth to you, that's what I hate about overhauls. I only vaguely remember Daggerfall tbh, it was still new when I was a kid. The only thing I can remember is those horrifying skeletons.

(oops topic went off-topic again, sorry guise.)

I definitely need to get of my ass and give it a whirl then. I always heart glowing things about Shivering Isles so I must have been really missing out, heh.

Ya Skyrim's MQ was pretty much balls. I don't even remember if I ever completely finished it, I don't think so. I usually was too busy playing Falskaar and the quests from Interesting NPCs to be bothered with stupid Alduin anyway.

I'm too easily distracted in Skyrim anyway since alot of the time I just found myself exploring and taking the world, and getting ambushed by Werewolves at night or some other thing. That world was just gorgeous.

Ambushed by werewolves? Did you played with mods for those encounters?

I have DG and completed the Companions but never once encountered a Werewolf in the open.

Aye.

I think there were vanilla events for them, but they were tied to completion of the Companions storyline for some stupid reason and probably bugged. Werewolves were also weak as hell so I think I had to fix that with a different mod, I can't remember... But they were absolute nightmares to fight in my playthrough so something must have been different.

Yep, definitely the best expansion Bethesda has created.

I'm surprised though, I can never get through with experiencing modded expansions without finishing the main quest, OCD I guess. The mods I have are very non-lore friendly. Makes the game look like a crossbreed of 5 different RPGs. Except for Moonlight Path to Elsweyr, my favorite modded expansion.

That's also the first batch of screenshots I've seen in months that isn't filled with weeaboo trash, I applaud. Although knowing you I'm guessing you have some erotica mods in there somewhere.  :P

Too bad many of Bethesdas games needs mods to be enjoyable though :/ don't know about Fallout. I've only played FO3 and I got bored by the hour.

I will never understand how people can play Bethesda Rpgs on consoles. With all the bugs and the really bad textures in the base game, that just seems really painful.

I was tempted to use a couple of those lorebreaker mods but I could never quite bring myself to, I imagine I'd feel too weird playing with those. I almost considered Moonpath though, I've heard good things about it but the poor voice acting was kind of a put off.. That, and I didn't quite feel like fixing it to work correctly with my private mods and scaling mods and combat enhancement. Too much work and I'm lazy.

LOL thanks, I hate weeaboo stuff for the most part, and despise those mods that turn all the women into shitty anime characters. I think I do use a mod that removes those stupid underwear for immersive nudity, but that's it.. Those sexlab mods struck me as a bit, uh, much..

Yeah, it's really a shame honestly. TBH I think if TES games didn't need so much work to make them enjoyable they'd pretty much blow DA out of the water, it's really refreshing to be able to just play TES games that feel like the genuine old style fantasy I grew up with and not have a bunch of stupid social issues and real life hot topics crammed in the story every which way and taking away from all the things that are supposed to be important. A lot of people might disagree on that, but whatever.

Yeah, I got some really lore-breaking mods to make the game more darker. An example:

Spoiler
Other than that, everything is vanilla. I always had other games to play so I never even bothered to have a good mod library. But tbh, are there ever any mods that have good voice acting? I have yet to encounter any.

That's surprising, I figured with your descriptiveness you would've went all out. I can't ever bring myself to install mods like that, ruins the game for me. Plus they look retarded.

I agree, I heard FO4 is pretty weak on the story, so I think Bethesda has lost their touch with their story-driveness. Maybe BioWare will claim that title, unless the Witcher has already taken it.  :P

I definitely agree with the last part, I despise that about video games nowadays. I won't even go into that cause we both know the topic will go even more off-topic than it already has.

Eh Skyrim is one of prettiest game you can play with PS3 and Bethesda even got it playable eventually so it's not really buggy anymore. Compared to DAI anyways that is quite ugly on PS3 and crashes all the time, Skyrim is just lot better. Though of course it's better with mods, mostly gameplay altering one's than texture mods though, my PC can't handle things like that.

Bringing this forum back on topic...

I'm sort of hoping that whatever happens, we at least get a choice for both genders concerning s/s alien romances. Like they should all be aliens, and the straight romances be human. That way if your male PC doesn't like the laidback Qurian mechanic, they can go for the worldly Turian soldier instead. This would be the ideal (if unlikely) situation for me, since I'm not playing a lady this time around and I don't have that much interest in human LIs.

And I'd really like to have alien races in our squad that we haven't had before on top of races from Andromeda.

A guy can hope :D

Yikes! That's definitely nothing like vanilla. And Interesting NPCS has amazing voice acting. Better than vanilla Skyrim, and some of it on point with BW games I'd say. That mod pretty much changed the way I look at Skyrim and made it a whole new experience, I'd never play without it. - Falskaar and Wyrmstooth were pretty good too. (although they each had a few stink bombs if memory serves)

LOL nah. Contrary to what my forum hijinks might suggest I'm not really that in to gratuitous nudity and sex in games. I am a hardcore immersion purist though, so for me characters actually being naked without their gear on, and sex being actual sex scenes are a big deal on principle more than personal gratification.

I never played FO unfortunately, I've heard so much about it but the idea of having to set up 50-100 mods again just turns me off too much. I was almost going to try FO4 till I heard it needed a bunch of mods, now I'm over the idea.

Hehe yeah, we best move along before the progressive police drive up in here and try to make another citizen's arrest.

Just looked that mod up and errmerrgerrd that thing is huge, looks installation worthy though. Wyrmstooth was very good as it looked like it was meant to be part of the game. Wasn't too keen on the Alduin-esque dragon though.

Wait, are you sure? Those Hanar comments and mechanics comments say otherwise. I'm joking, I prefer my immersion with logic as well. One reason I can't help but laugh hysterically when I see DA:O scenes.

I never have either, the last time I played a FO game it felt like Oblivion: The shooter. I abandoned it in my HDD somewhere. Too bad about Bethesda, I guess TES VI will be a reckoning. The same as Andromeda will be for Mass Effect.

Mhm, best we move along before this off-topic talk turns into a victim complex. But that's one reason I love BSN.  ;)

If it was up to me every LI would be alien in the game, but I guess ideal situation for everyone would be to have both alien and human LI option no matter gender and sexuality.

According to Allan. They said that he guaranteed that if every option is bi or playersexual or however you choose to define it, we would only have 4 instead of the 6 since they require the same amount of coding for both genders, which I disagree with since you don't have to write new dialogues, making new scenes, encode an entire character for romance. In term of options and numbers, I would love to have maybe a human and 2 aliens for each gender. I would like for the guys to be a human like Danse or Cullen, a Turian, and a Quarian, for female, I'm not sure, but a human, an asari, and maybe a salarian

Well they probably have to animate romance scenes twice if character bisexual to add different gender PC there (and if they don't do it properly they end up with clipping and akwardness that DAI suffered a lot with some romances- and even scenes outside of romances). But I agree that making two characters who are into one gender is way more work than making one character who is into both, maybe romance animation wise workload is not that different, but there is more aspects to LI's than just that.

That would be nice, but I wonder how many LI's Bioware is going with. I'm under impression that we won't have that many squadmates this time around so we might not have many LI's either. More the merrier in my opinion though as long as Bioware's writing stays.

That was for DA:I, which remember had multiple races. They had to make each scene 8 times - one for each gender and race. Now, "make" is a bit of a stretch because they only make it once and then tweak it 8 times, but that's a lot more work.

There's a huge trade off, though, between tweaking 4 scenes 8 times, and actually creating 6 scenes to tweak 2 times (for a case where there is no race choice but 6 options).

So you do have to make new scenes, on the cinematic side.

I definitely do not want my options limited to alien only. I really prefer human romances to aliens (elves and dwarves are still fairly human but a turian is nothing like). I will not be thrilled if all s/s romances are aliens.

If there are two m/m LIs and the gay one is an alien and the bi guy is human, that would be okay.

I guess I'm not one of those guys who sees the stars and the wonders of the night skies and thinks "how many species out there can I bang?"

Honestly, I don't see this happening, though. I think there would be backlash from multiple audiences complaining that straight people don't get to hook up with aliens, gay people don't get to hook up with humans (and slippery slope argument that gay people's real world relationships are akin to alien sex) etc. I think it would be safest for Bioware if they made sure every sexuality had an alien and human option.

Ah yeah. Having 2 alien LIs would be ideal to me, but having 1 human and 1 alien as s/s LIs is the most likely outcome and has a higher chance of making more people happy. Hoepfully come launch we can both be satisfied.

W-what? I t-totally don't think that *sweats*

We're talking about ME here, where we can only play as human. The only scenes where they have to make changes for also are the sex scenes, most other scenes are just the protagonist talking with no direct physical contact. Assuming there are 6 options, there are only around 12 variations they have to work in for mostly the sex scenes and maybe another scene that involved hugging, granted, we don't know what MEA will be like for the romance content yet, so we can't judge it at the moment.

Just been thinking back to this thread, after seeing a few suggestions dotted around for an all-male asari race, or just an all-male race.

While personally I think an all-male asari race is problematic, an all-male race sounds interesting, and in comparison to the asari, I would wonder if it would offer a romance option for gay male characters as well as female characters.

Of course it would be dependent on what the race in question was or looked like. I for one think a new Andromeda species would be preferable for obvious reasons. I'm interested as hell in finding out just what new species we may encounter in Andromeda.

And I bet Bioware is chomping at the bit in learning which new species (if any) fans demand a romance option be available for, much like turians and quarians from ME-ME2.

There should be a game option (like the difficulty setting) that allows hetero, gay/lesbian or both options / actions to happen. I'm hetero and I really don't like when things get weird... I would assume some gay/lesbians people can't be bothered with heterosexual romance options as well.

I'm all for "WELL WRITTEN AND RELEVANT" gay/lesbian/transgendered characters presence in the game (which can be cool. A.k.a. Dorian in DAI). But, preventing the game from forcing awkward, unwanted situations / options if you don't want them to happen or even be suggested for most characters in the game would make me happy.

In my play through, my world, I don't want a gay Garus or Kaiden. In yours? You get your wish!!

Anyone wants a drinking game where everyone take a shot whenever a toggle is mentioned?

They already said they wouldn't add a toggle, and your reasoning is the reason why they wouldn't do it.

There are many series with male only races, Dragon Balls have the Namekians which are an all male races but reproduce asexual by dividing. There are races where the race can change sex like the Skrull from Marvel, there are instances where they change race to be with a lesbian character and a gay character.

It would be an interesting contrast if they actually have a male only race to contrast it to the original. It's like a foil.
