Nah, I don't want side characters all over again...I don't feel the same with them as with characters who are more integrated to the story plot. : / I always envied straight females for having Solas as an option and I envied straight males for having morrigan...the only romance, that was really meaningful in my eyes, was with anders...and I have the bad feeling if they give us different sexualities, that I will envy straight males or females again, because their romances will tend to be more integrated to the story. I'd rather have a bisexual companion, who's more straight than bi but story relevant than a bisexual companion who's, lets say, more gay than bi, but unimportant to the main story and just a side kick again....

Personally, this is why I'm in favor of all companions being mandatory for the majority of the game til later on where you'd be able to get rid of them depending on how you treat them, but the last time I argued in favor of that, most people got mad because they absolutely didn't want a character they didn't like in their party or whatever, despite the stronger characterization and importance it'd give every character.

I tend to do in games tons of stuff I'd NEVER, EVER do IRL, such as a Hancock romance. When a character is interesting I overlook his/her appearance, like I did with Fenris in DA2. When I want looks I'll romance Cait.

Of course there are certain things I would do in games that I would never do in real life like killing annoying characters, but I would never kill anyone in real life for being annoying, but I guess when it comes to romance and sexuality, it's a lot harder to bypass attraction. it's like a lot of straight guys can't do a gay romance and stuffs like that.

Kaidan is dead in most people games and people wish they had chose Ashley because Kaidan "turned" bisexual. I also don't like how Kaidan and Ashley basically become the same person in ME3. It's a bit lame, personally.

To be perfectly honest, I am rather happy they made Kaidan romanceable by a Maleshep in ME3, I couldn't care less that he wasn't back in ME. I see Cortez more as a bro than anything.
So it's either Kaidan or Liara for my Shep in ME1/3.

I was with Tali, love her, but dump her for Kaidan since I've been pinning for him for years. It's too bad that they make him so inferior to the female Shepard though, and it would have been nice if they make Kaidan having some lines about the same sex though, he only talks about Shepard, making it as if he's only gay for Shepard. In the next game, if they had a bisexual, either humans or aliens, I really hope they comment more on both genders. I'm not really into Cortez, but he's generally a very well created gay character in general, although I find him a bit too one dimensional.

Suddenly Shepard is back (from the dead) and now they are far away from each other. Sooner finally Shepard is back on the earth at home by the Allianz and the Reapers attacks. But Kaidan do not know what he could say Shepard after he was such an Idiot to him but Shepard is still friendly and worried about him. Shep makes visits in the Hospital to look for him. (Hey Udina proves me to a Spectre - 'not' truly suspicions) Udina says Shepard is evil and working for Cerberus. Kaidan don't understand it but trust in his task as Spectre and Allianz member. Shepard aims on Udina/Kaidan, he thinks was Udina right but what is Shepard saying? 'Udina is payed by Cerberus?' I did not trust Shepard and I was wrong, perhabs Shepard is right and Kaidan is turning against Udina. After this Kaidan is very confused. Whom he can trust? the Council (Udina was one of them, but did his own thing with Cerberus) The Spectres? (Kaidan get his Spectre mark because Udina want a stupid puppet that is trusting him, because he is a Council member). Shepard is trying to be friendly to me, again. He is still trusting Kaidan, allow him to fight on Shepards side back on the Normandy. Kaidan don't want anymore to be seperated from Shepard so long. Kaidan can trust Shepard. Kaidan was an idiot to Shepard and Shepard want him back. Kaidan is admit his feelings. Kaidan loves MaleShepard. 

A little flirt on the citadel. Shepard yearn for Kaidan too. They are a couple now and till the end.

Kaidan will find Shepard. 

Everyone thought two times Shepard was dead, but he comes back every time. Shepard lives and they will live together in Canada, in a house near the sunset coast.

From what I could tell, according to the previous post, Kaidan wasn't bi, he was just lonely and Sheploo was the only person he could trust. Is that about the gist of it?

If that's the case, then it's true that Kaidan wasn't gay. However, it takes a lot more than just trust and loneliness for two people to fall in love and do the horizontal mambo. No matter what gender they are or which way they swing.

I've read some nutty things in this thread, but this one takes the taco.

That makes as much sense as anything else at this point. I've read some very passionate, creative and heated posts in this thread, but this is the only one that's really confused me.

Then again, on the other end, we have synths who are basically a shell. The memories being uploaded are like data, which they could make a bunch of "Nick" with the pre-existing data. We could erase the synth's data with a simple factory reset and insert a new personality in there. Synths will always be mindwiped to be given new personality, so in essence, you "killed" the person by wiping out their memories. Fallout 4 does make interesting philosophical questions when it comes to what makes a person a person.

I don't think that without particular memories and persona that has developed they are same person if they get mind-wiped. For example Curie remains same person even if her memories are loaded in another "shell". I'm not sure about wiping out memories and giving new one's (what Railroad is doing), since I don't know if it's addition top of persona that synth had developed or if it's reset of everything which would be quite much killing the person. I guess question there is that do they have persona that is seperate from memories- or do humans have that as well ^^; It surely is interesting.

 

Personally I believe that some synths have developed their own persona and thus are more than robots with only inserted and achieved memories that are data which makes them more person like. Kinda like with Legion and EDI, I think they achieved their own memories that were separate from consensus/given data and developed personas that are more than only data in the end

I'm not saying they are corpses, I'm saying that their appearance makes in game NPCs think of corpses and zombies. Then again, it's hard to say with Bethesda, they can't even decide if ghouls need to eat, drink, and sleep, so maybe they're less...decomposed now.
