quarians are the space elves, drell are more of a one note species "badass assassins" maybe that's because the only drell character to get significant screen time was one.

I'd be totally ok with an asari romance again since they're my favorite. But as a lesbian, i'd like a quarian or turian. Nyreen was so fine. Or, a drell lady romance, damn i really wanna see how female drells are.

I just don't find Drell interesting and I don't like that lithe muscley body type. Salarians are more for the fact that the STG are badasses, but it's not going to happen without ripping apart the lore. Quarians are a fine compromise in my eyes.

Speaking of Quarians, in a broad sense, aren't they basically humans in spacesuit? Since we don't see them outside the suit, and the badly photoshopped photo indicate that they look like badly photoshopped humans.

Mmm, yes. I do believe asari have preferences as well. A lesbian asari would be nice but I doubt it would happen (same for straight asari) since bioware pushes the "sexuality is fluid" shite with them so hard.

I wouldn't really want to hold out for that kind of thing, it felt extremely tacked on, maybe because they have zero chemistry, nothing in common, and so on. The opposite of what most people want for romances.
Though exploring the sexuality of a 'good' turian is something I'd be all for. (but not with a straight female turian, Ich wolle meine blonde haare!)

But on a serious note, I think I'm leaning towards Quarian for my gaylien (it'll catch on) romance. Gay Reegar for the win. Yeah, yeah, I get the whole space dalish and space gypsy thing, but I like them. Have no good reason for it outside of that. I would like them to have a better solution to intimacy than just 'take a pill' though. That was super lame.

You know what's even rarer than a gay little people? rule 34 with small penises. It's the male equivalent of huge boobs, and there isn't even "small breasts are justice" thing going on either.
My guess at the moment is that there will be system close to 2/2/2 and everyone has at least 1 human to romance, since not everyone are up to alien romances. Unless aliens are bi-options everyone won't get an alien. My guess is that we will get one Asari again, maybe Turian and then Drell/Quarian depending on if Bioware has invited them to ark or not. I doubt Bioware would go with romance of new alien species especially if that isn't somewhat humanoid-looking. AL-romance might be possible though.
