Wait a second... so Dadda Pavus wanted to turn his son str8, didn't in the end, but Dorian turned the Inquisitor str8? LOL.Or you can just focus on that one and just let everyone have 2 options. Why not make straight characters have 1 character so they can appreciate them? Dorian turned my character straight.
Gaylien romance?

The KOTOR approach was my favourite, though, having a single gay character in your party makes you apreciate him/her more, and it's more realistic.
Realism is sort of thrown out the window when you have people moving things with their minds and a race of conventionally attractive blue alien women imho. Also, you'd think that as time moves on queerness would become more normalised, thus realistically there should be more visible queer characters in Mass Effect.
Why not make straight characters have 1 character so they can appreciate them?
I admit, the petty side of me would feel gratified by this, but I'd worry about the backlash ![]()

The asari were explicitly designed to be love interests. And when I say that, I mean it's all over the art books and such - it's said repeatedly, they wanted the asari to be attractive as love interests.
I think I remember seeing a behind-the-scenes video where one of Bioware's artists talked about concepting male Assari... and the idea being rejected because it "made us feel weird."
...If that's true, it should have been a tip-off. That nicely sums up what my issue with them are.
EDIT: Also, Dorian was the BEST. That shady queen provided the best banter in the game. He was the perfect mix of joy and tragedy, with a huge heart.

I liked Dorian a lot. He was funny, charming, sweet and caring when he wanted to be but he lived his life like it was some grand piece of performance art. He was always "on", even in intimate moments he couldn't just be. it was exhausting.
As for this topic, I really, really don't want a male turian but it seems like the popular choice so I guess I'm outvoted.

It's still one of my pet peeves when gay guys refer to each other as princess or queen like rice queen or something like that. Whenever I hear someone use feminine pronounce to refer to themselves, it's a real boner killer. Maybe that's why I don't identify with the "gay" culture where gay guys use words like "fierce" or "inner black woman" and things like that. Channels with gay centric shows like Bravo are basically either drag queens or fashion and things like that. I have no problem if guys choose to identify that way, but I guess I like manly guys because I'm attracted to the masculine quality in a man.
I'm glad Turians receive so much love. They're a fascinating race, and they're like armored knight in a full costume.

I'd prefer a human male personally, but a Drell guy could be interesting.
I prefer a situation where there is a mix of orientations. Straight, gay, bisexual. It makes your gender choice feel more impactful.

Of course I like a human LI, too, but I would go under the assumption that we have 2 options, one could be human and the other could be turian... or some other aliens you prefer. ![]()
I'm hoping for 6 options where it divided as 2/2/2, everyone is equal and no one will rage.

Whenever a gay kid gets assaulted or killed, that blood is in their hands.
The gay community is not responsible for that blood, it's hateful bigots that are. People like you, who decide what type of gay person is acceptable, are making life even harder for the bulk of gay men, who aren't hypermasculine jocks.

No, that blood is on the hands of the people who assaulted or killed the kid because they assaulted and killed the kid.

The ones that inspire it are even worse that those who do it.
Still you haven't said if you care or not, that says everything really.
So a person exhibiting characteristics that are connotated with femininity are worse than people who assault and murder kids?
Additionally, Biotic Apostate's statement can be said to imply that they do not care for your claim about with whom the responsibility lies. I, for one, do not.
Bah, this is not the thread for this so this line of discussion should be dropped.
