And I hope dev will stop to listen to people in this thread and finally focus on actual gameplay, story and balance instead of turning every damn game in date simulator. I mean look at this, ME:A just got second trailer and we have 50 pages thread on forum about possible LI in the upcoming game. This is just sick. You are looking not for a good story or interesting gameplay but possible LI in the game 0_o I wish BioFail writer spend more time on story plot for Andromeda instead of listening to this thread and writting up LI scenes. Sigh...

I'm not sure if you are serious, a lot of those threads are parody of threads and trolling. You're reaching if you group all the troll threads together with serious threads like this one that started a year ago. Serious threads are basically very few. What do you want people to discuss? They give us nothing, no gameplay, nothing, just some trailer that basically showing off the graphic. I find it weirdly fascinating that out of all the LIs out there, people always choose the gay LI threads to talk about how much they hate romance threads. Don't like it, don't click on it. This thread actually generated some very interesting discussion going on not only in term of gay aliens, but also gays in general being portrayed in the media and Bioware games.

I agree, honestly I never really liked asari or found them attractive.

For the love that hanar, I hope we get a Turian in the next game. The majority of people choose Turian, second is Drell. Turians are just a fascinating race, and I would love to see them expolore the theme of interspecies relationship more in term of cultural and relationship.

 

I like Asari, but I was just a bit off-putting by their species. They're basically encouraged to breed exclusively with other races while propagate their number, they're reducing other species' number since offspring with Asari produce no species of their own, and they live for thousands of years. Other species also finds them attractive, so it's basically being drawn to breed with them. It seems like in a real world situation, their species would outnumber other species with their long life, high technology, and propagating under relationship with other species.

Not for everyone though. There is people who buy the game because it has LI's after all even if that's not majority. For me it's not biggest thing in the game, but pretty high up there.

 

Rather than complaining romance discussion, why not make thread of those topics or visit already existing ones. And romances are very much associated to ME games as well so I don't get that complain.

You judge people very easily and quickly ....

I love ME for its story, univers, characters and I'm certainly not the only one here.

Romances in general add fun to the game. They make you even more emotionally connected to it, which is a good thing IMO.

 

About the suggestions you made, Mako, MP, the ark etc... I already saw a thread (or even more) for each of them. Maybe you should look around....

Actually, the discussion about gays in relation in ME games, including gay aliens and how Bioware could improve on their representation in the game. If you read every post, you would know that, instead of jump in out of nowhere and looking down on people who participate in certain threads.

 

As I said, this is an old thread around a year ago where there were basically nothing to discussion, and still early enough for them to consider the possibility of a gay alien and how they approach gay characters in the game. If people want to discuss those stuffs, they can go to those other threads. It's a one thread, talking about a certain aspect people enjoy. What make you think people who participate in this thread doesn't participate in other threads like gameplay, Mako, and those other new information? It's a minor aspect, so this is a single thread for that aspect, people who are in this thread who enjoy other aspects also participate in other threads. You're making it as if this is the only thread people are in and the only thread they're interested in.

 

I don't get your point because there is no point, it's a one contained thread over a year ago talking about what people want to have in the game. People can't discuss something that can't exist at that time yet.

The biggest thread on the Mass Effect: Andromeda forum is not this thread. The biggest thread on the forum is The Mass Effect Andromeda Twitter Thread and the second biggest thread is Introducing Mass Effect: Andromeda. This is the third biggest thread that is currently on the first page. There may be a bigger one back from then but point remains that this thread ranks third in terms of pages on this forum.

There wasn't much to discuss back when this thread was made since most of it was speculation even when the leak came around and speculation is not something that interests everybody. It's only recently we've been gaining confirmed information and more visual images and as you can see on the forum, people are discussing that. When the trailer got released, redundant threads were springing up left and right. 

 

The topic of this thread is also not about gays in general; it's about gayliens romance as in gay aliens in the Mass Effect series.

I never said this thread is about gay in general it was Battlebloodmage statement. And if you think nothing wrong in people discussing Alien gay romance before any game info was released - ok.

Isn't that what we supposed to do? Tell them a feature we want before the game is finished, so that they could consider the possibility of including them in the game? I actually made several different suggestions in the board, but it's not my problem that this is the one that generate discussion. It's just proof that people want this as a feature. Seem like you have a problem with it has more to do with your personal disagreement than anything. 

 

Thanks for your permission for discussing about gay alien romance though.

True. Cullen thread was the most popular character thread, and he wasn't even considered to be an option during the original development of the game.

No, they don't. But lately company such as Blizzard, CD Project and other were making changes to their games based on huge threads on their forums.

Does it really bother you so much that people are discussing an aspect of the game they like? It's just a thread of discussion , opinions, and yes hope for potential gay LIs. It's really causing no harm to game development. -o-

Besides, if all they're doing is polishing I highly doubt this one BSN thread is going to stop production and suddenly focus on all suggestions here.

Okay, I do not want multiplayer. Then unnecessary the time spent on the multiplayer development? It is possibly  not, because many people like it. Just as the romance option. Here, on this thread we talking about the romance options, especially the gay romance options. It seems, many of us who are interested. Another thread exist to talk about something else. Everyone is talking about what s/he want, and can find what interests him/her.  This is good, I think.

I don't know if I'd call it "good," really. Honestly, I'd have preferred Samson in that slot.

I was a big fan of Cullen, and even had a dream about him, weird, I know. I'm happy for those who could enjoy his romance and happy that he's in the game. It just sucks the one I want to romance the most, I don't have access to me. Me and CuriousAtermis are sad pandas.

 

Yeah, it's good that he's in the game. I just hope I could one day get excited about a Bioware LI as Cullen fangirls.

Well he's clearly one of most popular characters and LI list without him would have looked more grim for sure. He's for example LI who has most fanfiction written of in AO3 tag. Samson might have been interesting sure, but I doubt he'd been as popular especially as LI. And wouldn't he had been somewhat similar to Blackwall?

I wouldn't have had him be one at all. Solas is already one extra romance for straight women.

Cullen was a fanservice, but a fanservice is not always necessarily asked for by the community. Solas fangirls have conquered BSN and pushed aside Cullen fangirls already. No one asked for Solas but he ended up like that.

 

Although its strange that straight women got that many romances in the game, specially elf female.
