That's suprising. What makes you think of that? Cause personally I think the differences between human and Drell are small.. compared to other alien races that is.
If I had to rank the humanoid (sorry elcor and hanar) species from least humanlike to most humanlike, I'd say:
vorcha < krogan < salarian < volus < turian < batarian < drell < quarian (only because of the unmasked tali pic or I'd place them lower) < asari

theres more threads about romances than things like exploration or the CC. Not really, though. I just went back 5 pages and there are only 6 romance threads (a little more than 1 per page). And two of them are specifically asking for no romance. There's one on gay alien romances; one asking for human only romance; one asking for romance customization; and one asking that the distribution of LI's is more even across demographics. It's really not that excessive, right? I might be biased though because I clearly enjoy them and enjoy talking about them.
I think the people who love romances and the people who hate romances give them a lot of attention. That's not really the majority of the BSN though. I think most people play the romances, but don't really care that much about them and don't really pay the threads much mind.
I'd like to be Thane for someones Jeirt. That would make the cutest and funniest little romance, think about it! Salarian bf would also enable most epic fade-ins during supposedly intimate moments, where you can never tell if they're all innocent or horribly dirty. (Details can be left out by all means, haha.) Overall I think salarians' nerdy way of thinking, and debatable repression(?), especially when combined with that crisp speech patter (that's thankfully easy to follow for esl person like me), is very endearing and interesting and maybe relateable, so it might be fun trying to forge a friendship closer than with Mordin.
I can imagine bisexual lady turian becoming popular, though I don't see why turians are so widely beloved. Garrus looks good on dance floor even when he's modded to shepard shuffle, I guess?
I like friendships/romances in games without concentrating on their looks (I was born vain and trying not to be) and sapient aliens are such perfect non-preachy chance for that unless they look just like humans. So far only female Shepard has had a chance to date really different looking people (and I've never played as female Shepard, despite always planning for that playthrough).
Just make a new romance thread so mods can merge them with the other romance threads, pin it and be done with it if ppl complain about romance threads.

Merging threads would make this forum easier to read, there isn't only many romance threads, but also many threads about what alien races we will see or like to see in Andromeda, complains about/replacing of trailer's song, discussion on what kind of squad mates we want, what your wishes and fears are and so on. Now there is just so many duplicate threads around.

For gay alien romances I would most like to see bisexual Drell, lesbian Turian and since Asari LI is probaply must bi/pan Asari. Drell would be adventurous and outgoing, but not sexually as open as some other bisexual we have had in Bioware's games. Turian would be job oriented and soldier-like, female KISA Turian 
Asari would be Vanguard and similar as Aria and Vasir, one that is tough and maybe little ruthless. That is some idea that I'd personally like to see

Personally I think Drells are most human-looking, they have similar body of as humans only skin is slightly different and faces are quite similar as well.

The krogan are basically upright frogs...
Vorcha, turian, salarian have extremely alien looking faces, plus those backwards knees.
Volus is humanoid, just very small and stout.
Other than their backwards knees and three digit-hands/feet, quarians seem to have the exact same bodies as humans.
Drell and batarian have odd faces but otherwise totally human characteristics.
Asari are human except for the hair being tentacles, though I like to think they are more muscular than humans; I picture their "boobs" being mostly muscle instead of fat.

I thought they're bringing in some of the aliens from Javik's time like Oravores etc. Maybe we shouldn't expect romances from known alien races.....

To me the differences are huge - all the drell have in common with humans, apart from the humanoid body plan, is that they have a human nose and human-looking lips. But to me, everything else is pretty different - they look as human to me as apes. Less so, in fact, because of the folds on their face and their eye colour.
