There is a plethora of "I don't want this" or "this game will suck cause of this" or some other variation of complaints on this board. And while I don't think there is anything wrong with that, this is a thread for those who know, regardless of what comes, will sink a TON of hours into this game. I have logged 501 hours so far, and plan on at least that with four. Unless Bioware does something truly catastrophic (and what counts as catastrophic is obviously subjective, for me it would have to be an awful lot of bad) then I won't be seeing the light of day for many hours.
How many hours will you sink into this game?

Well that is multiplayer alone. I have probably done 150 or so hours on SP

Oh sorry, Mass Effect 3

I see. In which way exactly is that relevant for ME:Andromeda?

Nobody can know yet, we know almost nothing and had a 30 second video that wasn't even gameplay. Anyone who already assumes is probably going to be false.

It depends upon how good the game is.

...how could anyone possibly know? I'm not angry with the decision to move to the Andromeda galaxy, but I'm also not a time traveler. ME:A could end up being awful for all we know.

Fair enough, I didn't explain my purpose very well in this post. What I am saying is, I am very excited for this game, I am showing how excited I am for ME:A by stating how much I loved ME:3 and that I plan to play it as much or more than ME:3. I am asking who else is as excited by this game measured by how much the played the last game. I apologize for my vagueness.

If the gameplay mechanics are as good as, or better than, ME3, and I find the story, single player content, and characters compelling? More than I'd like to admit.

ME:A is not ME3, so this is impossible to tell at the moment.

I don't know. It depends on how long it takes to finish the game. I'm sure I will do a speedrun and then take my time for another playthrough

1 hour, and then i will quit it and come to BSN to complain
More likely over a 100 hours if the game is good.

True, they aren't the same. But generally people are excited for something by how much they loved previous incarnation of a thing. Be it a movie, video game or even a completely different IP by the same author/creator/director. Etc etc.

Different game engine, different protagonist, different galaxy, different story... one can say to be excited, interested or whatever... but to make concrete claims about hours played is ridiculous. For all we know ME:A might be a buggy mess that crashes constantly on Nvidia PCs.

Why even bother with the hour? We can complain now, 2 years before release =p
My hype's pretty firmly in check, lots of things can happen over the course of 18 months or so.

So it's fair to say that your level of excitement is firmly "yet to be determined"? I feel you may be taking this all too literally, and again that was my fault for making my post very vague or rather with a rule of measurement that you disagree with.
Point is, I have high hopes for this game, and if it's predecessor is any indication then I think I will spend as much time in this game as I did in the last. Though don't get me wrong, this isn't a concrete number. It is, of course, entirely based off the quality of the game.

Probably a few hundred, if it follows the same patterns as other bioware games I have.

Oh, probably around the same embarrassing amount I have logged on other Bioware games. ![]()
Ok. So no ****, there I was: replaying Mass Effect because the trailer got me hyped. My friend sees that I am playing it and says "Omg, you've been playing Dragon Age so long that you're now in space."
..... I laughed harder than I should've.
