Did anyone else notice that the N7 has moved to the left chest side?... Don't know why, but it is kinda bothering the sh*t out of me.. maybe I'm crazy.

And all of those saying no romances... YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND!  I want a soft porn out of my romance (jk...sorta)

Other than that, Jacked about the game! Hope to buy a second console if they make a ME specialty addition!

I did. I pointed it out in my video.

I think it may be a subtle way to differentiate this N7 from Shepard.

Perhaps that guy is more of an anti-hero or rogue N7. At first I thought he may be the "authority" of our PC, but now I'm starting to lean on him possibly being our PC's rival or something of the sort.

Or more than likely....    They already had the video and wanted to show off N7, so they just stuck it where it show most prominently.

Also, I think this might go along with the thinking that N7 ideals have been lost and you've gotta recreate them.  Thus the beginning of a new N7 designation seeing as how they never defined N7 to begin with.

I wonder if this N7 will be the "Duncan" of ME:A - the initial leader/mentor figure of the expedition who is killed somewhere along the way, allowing the PC to step in.

I've been thinking that too. With what Bioware said about what N7 means, I don't see it being very likely that this guy is the antagonist. But being the mentor character for the protagonist fits.

Frankly, the use of the N7 emblem in Andromeda is a cheesy appeasement to all Mass Effect fans.

N7 is associated with the Normandy, Shepard the Spectre, Cerberus and the Citadel. Andromeda is supposedly a complete break from the ME series. I can't think of a valid reason for it to be used except many Mass Effect fans go nuts seeing it.

Thus, Bio uses the emblem to connect the game with Bio's fans via a familiar and recognizable symbol... the N7 emblem....This comes from marketing 101.

I'm looking forward to play a well written, fun to play game and not for thr N7 symbol on the cover art.

What?

Normandy - No
Shepard - Yes
Cerberus - No (What?)
Citadel - No (N7 has nothing to do with the Citadel)

On on hand, I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of him being an antagonist given Bioware's love of turning heroes into villains ;) (and vice-versa). But... I wasn't getting a villain-vibe from this trailer.

Oh, I'm not ruling it out. I just find it more likely they will be a mentor or some important NPC to the protagonist rather than a villain, at least at first.

I think I'll start calling him DuncaN7 until I hear otherwise... ;)

N7 is associated with the Alliance. Not the Normandy or Citadel. Shepard was an N7 because he graduated from the N7 program with some other people. We just do not see that because the time Mass Effect 1 plays out, Shepard is in his late 20's and already a Lieutenant Commander. The only reason you never seen any other N7's is because each year only a few people graduate and they are few and far between.

As I understand it, the program is so difficult, that even making the attempt is seen as a great honor even if one fails.

Anyway, does any one know if there are specific rules that state which side one should place their N7 badge? I am not fully certain. But I think I might have seen a few outfits where the N7 badge was placed on the left side in the first trilogy.

Probably the answer. Notice at the end, where it actually looks line an in-game asset and not a cinematic rendering, the guy doesn't have it on his chest.
