Indeed, that's a Helmets: On girl if I ever saw one... ;)

Yeah, my ability to keep up that charade about Atwell's attractiveness has a one-post threshold.

I pretty much like anything Johnny Yong Bosch and Grey DeLisle do.

Edit: And Troy Baker, because cute.

Angelina Jolie would make for a great voice actress in ME, though I doubt even EA could afford her...

I fully, unquestionably endorse her participation in ME:A, maybe even for the protag, but she's not really the kind of celebrity that comes to mind with this kind of topic.

True, she's more a voice actor than a big name from Hollywood.

As for as Hollywood stars go, Eva Green would be god tier casting. It would probably never happen, but it would be awesome. She's great in nearly everything she's in.

if you want good voice actors, hire REAL VOICE ACTORS not the glamqueens and sex idols of hollywood.

You know some of these voice actors also work in Hollywood right? The voice of Kaidan is also a really well known television star. You think it's impossible to make use of their acting chops in a voice recording studio?

Which reminds me. Bradley Cooper would be a nice edition.

Well Keith David voiced Admiral Anderson, so I doubt he's going to get a major role in the new game. Usually someone with as distinctive a voice as that, they don't tend to reuse them in the same setting.

Honestly, given that actors are doing more and more crossover work, I wouldn't be surprised if some major TV stars did make a contribution somehow. I mean, a glance at the cast list of The Old Republic on IMDB says that Jamie Bamber did some voice work there, and he's gotten steady acting work on TV. And I fully endorse BioWare continuing the trend of bringing in known sci-fi performers for Mass Effect. He'd be a great fit, along with Claudia Christensen. And ME1 and 2 had Star Trek actors make appearances as major characters, so I would love for that trend to get picked back up. I'd LOVE Avery Brooks to make an appearance...

Well, BW has the voice actors already chosen - I think... they must have - so as long as they're good, I'm happy. When it comes to actors like Sean Connery, George Takei, Morgan Freeman, Patrick Steward and Mark Hamill, I think they would be too old to be voicing the male protagonist. They are all awesome actors but you could hear their age through their voice, so no, I don't think they would fit the role in my opinion. But for some other role in the game, yes, definitely.

Well, certainly we shouldn't be using those guys as protagonists, but seriously, this game needs George Takei.

Here's Conan's opinion of George's voice.

Here's George reading Fifty Shades of Grey.

He'd be perfect as some aged admiral or some such.

Actually, I don't think that is the case. I may have misconstrued, but I was sure I read in an interview that they haven't cast any voices yet. They have ideas for what they're looking for for the characters (I'm assuming they're all nailed down at this point) and even their "in a perfect world" choices, but no actual casting as of yet. I'll try and find it again, it might have just been the protagonist or squadmates or some such.

EDIT: Found. It was from an interview posted here on the forum.

'BioWare is known for keeping a good stable of voice actors they like to work with on various projects, so we next asked if it was possible we might hear some old familiars among the new Mass Effect cast.

"I don’t think you’ve cast any single character—" started Flynn, and Walters interrupted him to confirm.

"No casting yet," he said. "We often, when we develop character in any of our games, will use existing actors in movies to kind of say, ‘This is how this person talks,’ and we’ve certainly had those discussions, we know those characters and some actors we’d love to have—but we haven’t gotten into the casting yet. So, news to come—stay tuned!"'

Ah, interesting to know. Well, I hope they pick good ones. :)  But I still think that the voice actors of both protagonists shouldn't be too young or too old because you can hear the difference/age in the voice.

Oh, and not to use the same voice actor too much, like they did in DAI -> Gatt's voice actor (Gethin Anthony, I believe). I truly started to almost hate that voice due to hearing it everywhere and without any noticeable change to it. Like the actor couldn't or didn't bother to try and modify it even a little.

Whatever, really - I'd rather for them to stick with the ones they know, or closely make sure the stars don't see this as a "Oh, side job, good" and do a crap job.

I'd rather they spend the budget on more useful things.

Just get actual professional VA's like Laura Bailey instead of celebrities that charge a fortune for a phoned in performance.

I just hope they don't do more stunt casting of people who CAN'T act like Buzz Aldrin and what's her face who played Diana Allers. That killed immersion for me and was just disrespectful to the real voice actors, IMO.

As for voices I'd like to hear: Venus Terzo, LeVar Burton and, of course, Jen Hale.

I won't argue against them probably costing quite a bit more to get (depending on who it is), but I really can't say anyone in the past at least has phoned it in. Sheen was great as TIM, for instance, and he probably could easily phone it in if he wanted to.

As for who I'd want, eehhh.... Manu Bennett?
