With Shepard's story at an end and a new story beginning, it also means the Normandy's story is at an end as well. Though I haven't seen any confirmation, I think it's a fairly safe assumption that our hub will be some sort of vehicle capable of moving through space that can house several dozen people. That means we need a new name.

 

Anyone got ideas? Despite the fact that we know the N7 guy in the trailer isn't the PC, I'm betting that we'll probably be Alliance affiliated. Since it will probably also be a frigate or cruiser (and that it won't be based off battles from the Reaper War), that means human battles or cities.

 

My favorites for frigates would be The Kurikara, The Stalingrad, The Stamford Bridge, or The Red Cliffs.

For cruisers I would go with The Minneapolis, the San Francisco, The Kyoto, or The Osaka.

Apparently it is called the Tempest according to the leak. Perhaps that means the ship isn't an Alliance vessel (multi-species?) or is some new class of ship, since it doesn't follow the usual Alliance naming convention of frigates being named after famous battles in human history.

 

If we had a frigate named after a battle however, my vote would be for the SSV Lexington. It just has a nice ring to it, plus it lends itself easily to the affectionate nicknames often given to ships by their sailors. "The Lucky Lex" for example.
