Ain't it though

Would love to have more diverse skin types instead of like, five shades of pale, one shade of tan, medium brown and dark brown. Although I'm glad that in ME3, I could use my own skintone for my Shep.
I don't really expect much from a limited pre-made character customization content. But I only wish we wouldn't have those weird heavily slanted and inverted slanted eyes types.... And its called epicanthic folds... and for heaven's sake, can they just put additional sliders to adjust depth and angles.
My only wishlist for MEA was for a better customization content for male character. Male CC for Mass Effect was atrocious...
as for representation issues... does it even matter in a game that allow you to create whatever characters you want?
and before someone accuse me for being white and insensitive about 'POC' concerns... again. I am born and bred Asian who live in Asia and we're the largest population in the world. Was is necessary for me to feel entitled just because game industry in the west doesn't present this as a fact? Eh... no.
Hey, I don't get to play an albino, so you should really all stop bitching.

Yeah this is what I was saying earlier. Bioware supports diversity, except for about 1/3 of the total population of the planet.
DAI was hopeless for creating East Asian faces. They couldn't be bothered to include Asians because their target market doesn't have as many Asians or at least not as many who complain about not being represented.

I thought that was odd since they did Jade Empire and even some of the Asian characters in KotOR was better than all the attempts I made.
Besides, if I want to spend hours recreating a version of me, I would boot up Sims 4. It would be cool if Bioware would allow us to retouch the face directly for their future CCs. Its doable in ME2 and ME3 via Gibbed but they're quite tedious.

And to the libertarian who basically told me to shut up. Go back, read....and ask yourself why you felt the need to call me out, but completely ignored the actual bigoted comments that preceded my initial post. You complained because I called this crap out. You never called out the inappropriate comments, so you actually don't care about social injustice. That falls in line with the libertarian platform. I stand by what I said: you just provided a prime example of libertarian apathy. Thanks.
You mean me? I didn't tell you to shut up. I asked you to leave RL political parties out of this. I was requesting that you not make blanketed statements of two political parties.
Apathy? Cute. On a personal level, there is several posters in here that know me well enough to where they know I care about a lot of subjects, and that the video game culture is a deep passion of mine. Offline, I've been voting every year; I've been following the new cyberstalking laws on the books. Here in the US, thanks to some of the people that certain groups hate, there is a cyberstalking and cyberbullying law that just passed the House of Rep and is on the way to Congress. Did you know about that? Go check it out. I was very happy with the language of the bill.
I've written to my congressman and state senate to overturn the ban on gay marriage here. I actually study from objective sources when it comes to things I vote on, such as fracking. I care, deeply. How in blazes did you get me asking everyone to chill out as "not caring?" Actually read what I said.
I said that no one has the right to lash out at each other. I asked for you not to be so aggressive. I guess you've intentionally missed all the times I've asked people to stop insulting each other. I have called out posts that sounded sexist and bigoted before. I wasn't calling those people out in the post I addressed to you, because I was talking to you. Clearly you've decided to only focus on that one post of mine, and not the posts where I do call people out. See, I call out everyone if they are being overly aggressive. I've encouraged people to use the ignore list if they feel the other person is too stubborn or whatever.
I'm LGBT+ too. I used to be apart of the Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast here in town throughout all of high school. As an adult, I started a GLAAD email campaign a number of years ago over LGBT representation in video games. I got harassed, e-stalked, insulted, the whole nine, because of what I did. I've fought for my video game representation, and thankfully I wasn't targeted for doxxing or swatting.
I also volunteered for the AIDS walk for a few years, volunteered for Planned Parenthood, and other things along those lines too many to list here. I was the target for "correction" in high school by the Rodeo Team. A friend of mine got hit by a car when he managed to stop them. So yeah, I do know what it's like. I lived it. I care a lot too, and I've put myself out there.
If you don't think I've gone off on the "dudebros" before, please talk to TommyServo. He's one of the posters that can tell you that I don't tolerate extreme aggression very well. However, thank you for showing why I encourage civility. Thank you for showing why blanket statements can be hurtful and harmful. Thank you for demonstrating why we need to talk to each other more and not at each other.
Personally, the number one thing I'm hoping for is that the lighting is a bit more friendly to both pale and darker skins.
...Well, number one might be hyperbole. But it'd be nice.

Just because I'm curious...the Rodeo Team? WTF is that? Like literally a high school team of people who take part in rodeos?

Yep, just like high school football or soccer. High school teams compete, including cattle roping and bull riding.
Edit: For the sake of the OP, this will be my last comment to Blue.
Blue, if you wish to talk later and want to be calm about it, please send me a message. I won't flame you or attack you or any of that stuff. That isn't the way I roll. If it seemed like I was attacking you in any of my posts, that was not my intent and I do apologize if I came across that way. It seems like you feel very strongly about this and I would love to have a chance to talk with you. If not, we'll just call it here as a case of "agree to disagree." ![]()

Nope, Colorado.

Then it's just my own ignorance showing.

Ironically, here in South Carolina, gay marriage is legal and has been for a very long time. Kind of sad, really.

It's all good. A lot of people here in the States are surprised about things like high school rodeo teams existing in states north of Oklahoma. ![]()
Went there for basic.
Fort Jackson
Yeah, most military I know have. The novelty of being here wears off fast if you actually live here.

High school rodeo teams exist period? Like, these are an actual thing and not a joke?

I been there for Basic and AIT (36B).

Yep. I had one in my high school. Most of the schools around here have one. I live in a suburb of a big city, and they had them here too. I was surprised as well. I knew about them in NM, but it's more expected there. Here? Yeah, that was quite the surprise. Sadly, most of them were every bit of the redneck stereotype that comes with it. The friend that stood up for me was a rancher, not some city boy playing pretend by wearing Wranglers and roping a bull on occasion.
You would actually be wrong about that. Mark of Kri and it's sequel, Rise of the Kasai both feature Polynesian protagonist - at the very least, fantasy equivalents. The main character even uses a taiaha.
Granted, aside from those, can't think of one.
Depending on how you look at it, Star Wars games with characters who are or are derived from Jango Fett could count. So Bounty Hunter, Republic Commando and if you want to stretch a bit, Battlefront 2.
