If you know what you are doing with the CC and you are patient you can make a convincing PC of any ethnicity.

The CC was the best and most detailed as far as faces go.

 

But the hair options were awful. There were maybe only two options for each gender that weren't awful. The choices are particularly bad for female characters, because about half of the options are variations of bald, balding, or shaved. 

 

Yeah, with the hair options, the set is basically universal for human, elves and dwarves across both genders. The male PC can get all of the options a female gets too, and you can see multiple male NPC's sporting hair you'd usually associate with a female character (a lot of NPC's have Scout Harding's hair). Heck, Erimond actually has one of the default options you see on a female preset.

I mean we never had curly hair or afro for black characters or asian eyes. I am white woman by myself but I would love to see non white character created. Will it be possible after all this time? If they won't give us playable aliens, at least let me make something non-white.

Anyway, DAI did dark skin well for the first time, here's hoping MEA gets some hair options right. If not, it'll be another bald protagonist for me

Yes! And please please please don't use a straight white man like they did with Shepard as literally all of the promo. Mass Effect is all about creating your own person and doing whatever you want and one of the many reasons people love this game is because people who often feel like they aren't represented in video games or science fiction stories or well anywhere-like the LGBT community, People of Color and women can create themselves in this game and be the star. They can finally be the hero, the person who saves the galaxy and that's BEAUTIFUL!

But then they used straight white male Shepard for all the promo...except for that one trailer FemShep (the true, original and in my opinion better Shepard) got. Oh and she was on the back cover of some copies of the third game, but that's it.

Mass Effect is all about creating your own person and doing whatever you want and one of the many reasons people love this game is because people who often feel like they aren't represented in video games or science fiction stories or well anywhere-like the LGBT community, People of Color and women can create themselves in this game and be the star. I don't see how that's not "what Mass Effect is about", in fact BW's statistics showed that most Shepards are indeed male and straight.

That bigotry is showing again, there's absolutely nothing "straight" about Sheploo in the trailers, you should probably think before dumping your stereotypes on stuff.

I totally forgot about that guy. He probably smudged his fingers over the avatars of the unsavory users. Sort of like pinching your fingers to make it seem like you're crushing someone's head from a distance.

He didn't seem very stable but logging on to the old BSN and seeing insane outbursts from nutjobs is part of what made the old forums so enjoyable. Sad to say the new BSN is a shadow of its former glory as dumb as it was.

He did have some points though. Synthesis is rape, Destroy is genocide and Control is at best the lesser evil compared to those two. Refusal is genocide too though.

 

That's the problem when you're offered 4 insane choices and are supposed to choose the glowing green one when usually all you had was red and blue. Also pseudo science, space magic and "haha, you thought your choices matter?" didn't help.

I couldn't make a good face in ME's CC if my life depended on it, so I just stuck to the default for the male and female Shep. My Shepard always looked like a wax model of Clint Eastwood that had been sitting next to a space heater for an hour. So I'm hoping for a really good CC in ME:A, or face-scanned default faces for the male and female protagonists.

Try this site: http://mass-effect-2...esofgaming.com/ It's mostly face codes.  On the same site, they have head morphs and codes for both ME2 and ME3.  Finally, they have a slider converter that takes face codes from ME2 and ME3 and put them into a format for ME1.  

 

You'll have to do some very slight tweaking in ME1, especially with the nose (it's usually off by about one) and eyes (usually I move that and the brow higher about 2-3 ticks,) but it's helped me a ton to make nice looking Shepards.  

 

Edit: 10:30pm on a Saturday and Jurassic World was packed.  We've got tickets for tomorrow night.

LMFAO. Me saying that the LGBT community, People of Color and women are less represented in video games and other forms of media isn't bigotry, it's a fact.

And yes, there's a trailer for the first Mass Effect where it shows straight white male Shepard kissing Ashley so you're wrong.

FemShep, the true and original and better Shepard didn't get a trailer until the third game. Also, why hasn't there ever been a trailer focusing on a Male Shepard and Kaidan romance? Like I said, besides the FemShep trailer which she didn't get until the third game Bioware only used straight white male Shepard for all the promo. Bioware should focus on ALL their fans and let everyone feel represented. That's all I'm saying. I have no idea why you're getting so upset about that. =)
