FemShep wasn't based on a hottie model unlike her male counterpart. Think people picked him because he was just pretty? What was it 82 vs. 18 percent, I think.
I wonder what the stat is on the Inquisitor?
Can't remember her name, but I did like FemShep's VO actress better than her male counterpart. They were directed the same, and yes the inflections were practically identical; however, I really felt like FemShep was the real deal b/c of the VO work.
Silly, but just as valid as any silly thing said on a forum.
Maybe the trick is not using white actors for the PC toon. Then again I don't think the F/American Inq was white, but if everyone is speaking standard American, you can't tell.
Ever notice if BioWare wants us to dislike a character they make them French. What if our PC toon had a French accent. Would we shoot ourselves out an airlock?
Not only white protagonist

Well, in fairness, Shepard's sexuality never makes it into trailers. If it did, well...
Yes it does lol

Try this site: http://mass-effect-2...esofgaming.com/ It's mostly face codes. On the same site, they have head morphs and codes for both ME2 and ME3. Finally, they have a slider converter that takes face codes from ME2 and ME3 and put them into a format for ME1.
You'll have to do some very slight tweaking in ME1, especially with the nose (it's usually off by about one) and eyes (usually I move that and the brow higher about 2-3 ticks,) but it's helped me a ton to make nice looking Shepards.
Edit: 10:30pm on a Saturday and Jurassic World was packed. We've got tickets for tomorrow night.
Thanks for this Nat! My Femshep always ends like a cheap MJ knock-off, and then sat on by 12 elephants.

Can't find the full picture, but it gives you the relevant parts. 32% overall - about 25% on current-gen consoles, closer to 35/40% on last-gen and PC.

So after perusing some of the front page threads and seeing all the "Shep should be gay", "Shep should be black" and "more FemTrailers", not to mention reading through this thread, I think the best solution would be for BW to make the next protagonist -

Anyway just market the character with a helmet and suit. When you make the character just leave it white tbh I don't care because I get to change the way the character looks anyway.

How did you do that? My Shepard's usually look like a krogan sh*t-nuked their toilet faces.
Well it does take some time, my first male Shepard wasn't much of looker either ^^

The CC was the best and most detailed as far as faces go.
But the hair options were awful. There were maybe only two options for each gender that weren't terrible. The choices are particularly bad for female characters, because about half of the options are variations of bald, balding, or shaved.
Still better than what ME overall has ^^;

FemShep, the true and original and better Shepard didn't get a trailer until the third game. Also, why hasn't there ever been a trailer focusing on a Male Shepard and Kaidan romance? Like I said, besides the FemShep trailer which she didn't get until the third game Bioware only used straight white male Shepard for all the promo. Bioware should focus on ALL their fans and let everyone feel represented. That's all I'm saying. I have no idea why you're getting so upset about that. =)
This is either really, really adorable or really, really stupid. I haven't decided on how serious you are yet from the fact that you keep repeating that one phrase about the "true and original and better Shepard," while simultaneously talking about how she doesn't matter at all.

I didn't think it was that bad. It manages to get the plot themes across without spoiling too much.
Interesting how misleading they manage to be about Virmire, though.

Jurassic World wasn't bad.
You get what you expect to get. You go in knowing it's going to be dinosaurs rampaging around a theme park. The plot was about as solid as it could have been while delivering that.

Yes! And please please please don't use a straight white man like they did with Shepard as literally all of the promo. Mass Effect is all about creating your own person and doing whatever you want and one of the many reasons people love this game is because people who often feel like they aren't represented in video games or science fiction stories or well anywhere-like the LGBT community, People of Color and women can create themselves in this game and be the star. They can finally be the hero, the person who saves the galaxy and that's BEAUTIFUL!
But then they used straight white male Shepard for all the promo...except for that one trailer FemShep (the true, original and in my opinion better Shepard) got. Oh and she was on the back cover of some copies of the third game, but that's it.
They used him in all the promos because he was their stock, perhaps canon, Shepard character. They allow you to make your Shepard whatever you want in that regard, so what do you care which image they use in advertising? Then they made the Femshep trailer for ME3 as a gift to female fans. Sorry, but they are not going to make special promos for each way you decide to divide people up into little groups.

It's stupid not to market character creation in a game that has it, particularly when by Bioware's own metrics gamers go with a custom protagonist over the default one anyway. That's part of why they didn't have an iconic Inquisitor (though they went with dudequisitor for their trailers).

And i'd prefer to never see this again. Like, always the male being the "default" in everything. Covers, promo pics, trailers, gameplays. Just.. no more of this.
And there's no canon Shepard.

Yes, you make Shepard be whoever you want to be but WHY didn't Bioware show that? Why did they only show one Shepard-the straight white male Shepard in all of the promo?

Because some casual fans won't know it's the same game without a consistent protagonist. It's called "branding". I'm all for making the default female or another race or sexuality, but consistency in the marketing is important.

Because quite frankly, that's what Bioware believs the majority of their audicence expect Shepard to be. A to a large degree I think they're correct. For most western audicences the military is a very masculine organisation, and yes most of those men are going to straight and white.
