How did Mass Effect 1-3 struggling to properly render non white people due to engine/technical issues become a long discussion on the percentage of gay people living in the first world?

She's alluded to in TW1 she's not present. I pretty sure she's alluded to again in TW2. I only remember one of the convos about her.

Also that collage includes The Sims...

So because of the Sims you're going to ignore the rest?

How would you know how many people in America are Gay
................? There's literally no way to know that. Like I said, and like I keep saying...homophobia has made a lot of Gay people ashamed of who they are so they identify as straight.

Gay people are murdered all over the world btw, it's not just in "Middle Eastern countries". Homophobia is a worldwide problem.

-

Love how my post has caused such an uproar! :D

Completely intentional, you are an attention seeker hoping to shutdown people by throwing out comment about Homosexual's being persecuted and killed across the world. They are persecuted and killed this is true, Do not apply or compare your first world problems to theirs it is disrespectful and petty.

Again, I have no idea what the % of Gay people is since so many people are ashamed to identify or even admit to themselves that they are Gay.

Those anonymous surveys and census records that everyone totally reads sure are embarrassing.  <_<

But on topic, sort of, it amazes me how we can go from complaining about not having some swagasfuck hair, to talking about the number of non-Heterosexual people in the world, as if the two are related in any way, shape, or form. Because as we all know, the lack of diversity in hair means the lack of diversity in everything else. And by everything else, we really mean: gay people are oppressed literally everywhere, and it's just as hard to be gay everywhere, and BioWare is terrible for not showing gay sexual situations in all of their trailers. Without these trailers, gay people would have absolutely zero representation, and BioWare should be ashamed. And you know what else sucks? Being a woman, preferably a gay one.

HALO HALO, the vorcha is happening here? I asked for CC letting us create realistic looking people other than white. Beside people adding pics of chars which only have no eyelid shown which isn't everything about asian people (I don't want to scare you at all, but asian people can have visible eyelid, it's not all about this), the vorcha you're writing about? IT'S ABOUT CC AND POSSIBILITIES OF CC TO CREATE PROTAG WHICH LOOKS NON WHITE BY OTHER WAY THAN SKIN TONE. So stop. I beg you.

That's how BSN works, sadly. Topic starts, somewhere in the middle topic changes and goes OT and then fights ensue and the rage of mods lock the threads.

My post causing a meltdown wasn't intentional but I honestly do LOVE that it did! One of my favorite things to do is making ignorant disgusting homophobic people mad! It's so much fun!! :D

Anyway, what do you mean by my "first world problems"..? Homophobia is a *worldwide* problem-it's something that happens in first world countries as well as third world countries. Don't try to teach me about what homophobia is. I've experienced it and as I said, I know people that have died because of homophobia so I know more about it than you do.

Try again.

You're not making the homophobes mad, you're just making a bigger fool out of yourself.

BTW, you have presented no evidence that heterosexuals don't make up the majority of people.

Gay people are killed because they're gay in first world countries? How do you mean?

Because in Middle East or Middle Africa this murder is sanctioned by government and law. In Europe/USA it can be a few crazy murderers, who get a life sentence/25 years in prison (or death penalty in some states in USA) for it.

How can you even compare it?

Actually I am, whenever I've talked about the LGBT community, People of Color or women getting more representation in video games I have been causing meltdowns and uproars and it's hilarious imagining you people slamming away at your keyboards and getting upset.

You calling me a fool doesn't effect me. Coming from you, that doesn't matter to me at all. I couldn't possible care less about what some 12 year old on a forum thinks of me. I have more important things to worry about lol.

Stay mad.

Given the capabilities in DA: I to make a black character, I'd suspect that we will be able to do so in ME: A too.  Not sure about robust the CC was for making other real-world races, though.  I never tried since I tended to stick to non-humans anyway.

I'm hoping for more (not more as in 'larger amount', but more as in 'continued existence of'.....where's Stannis when you need him?) non-white NPCs in the series as well.

Yes, Gay people are killed in first world countries. Homophobia might not be as rampant and widely accepted in America as it is in other parts of the world but it still happens every single day.
Like I said, I know LGBT people that have been murdered in America. I've experienced homophobia here so I know that homophobia is a problem in America as well.

I made one post two days ago talking about People of Color, the LGBT community and women getting more representation in video games and I would have dropped it but my posts keep getting quoted and now I'm just replying to people that are directing comments at me. People keep bringing it up again and again so :)

You literally just brought that up out of nowhere. You keep saying this and you can keep saying it as much as you want but that doesn't make it true. I'll explain this to you, again. There is no way to say how many LGBT people there are in the world. LGBT people are oppressed and ashamed of who they are because of homophobia and transphobia so a lot of LGBT people identify as straight/cis, so saying there's more straight people is just an assumption and nothing more.

Natureguy said the majority of people are straight, you said not true I assume you have evidence for such a world shattering revelation.

But you somehow can safely say the majority of humans are not heterosexual.

Through the power of the internet, I got the stats of people who ID as homosexual in the modern world, which is generally more accepting of homosexuals:

US: 3.4%,

UK: 1.4-10%

France: 9.7%

Australia: 3.1%

Ireland: 3.9%

Italy: 2.4%

Brazil: 7.8%

Oh noes, the heterosexual population is still the vast majority.

Where's your evidence then?

ME:A is using Frostbite, Frostbite seems like it can handle brown skin fine judging from DA:I. Though I wonder how much is 'technical limitation' and how much is just artistic.

I'm no expert, but the previous iteration of Frostbite rendered brown skin just fine. In Battlefield 3, the US assault soldier was a man of color. Now I am in no position to judge how well it was done, but it looked good to me.

The more CC options the better.
If we have to play as a human, I'd like to see as many customisation options for that species as possible.
I always struggled a bit with ME's CC, but I found DAI's CC to be much more versatile, so hopefully BW takes inspiration from that.

And no it's not lol the default Male Shepard is so boring and irrelevant. I want to projectile vomit every single time I listen to Mark Meer's voice. It's so emotionless and boring, and it's not even intentional. Like nails on a chalkboard.

Yeah, you're the one to go to for measured discourse.
