More like a Krogan with 8 jetpacks strapped haphazardly on rampaging through walls to headbutt a shuttle trying to take off into a cliff where it blows up with the crew inside after which the Krogan straps on the shuttle engines and proceeds to blast away into space to headbutt a space-station that looked at him funny and possibly made crude reference to his mother's chocolate chip cookies.

I would at least expect that they can manage to implement a better match making system, you know so you at least don't get to play with people with really bad Connections.

Seems pretty straightforward to me- if it has enough positives to outweigh the "slop", as ME3 largely did, then we'll be fine. If they don't have enough, e.g. good characters, gameplay, etc on the SP to outweigh a bad plot/ending/whatever, or a rich/varied enough multiplayer to outweigh glitches, bad netcode, and so on, then we'll have problems.

So, what if Andromeda became first-person shooter?

I just hope the netcode for mp is all right. I don't know if I'll play SP as much, given how much I love me3mp over sp.

Who says it can't be a hybrid?

If it retains the best aspects of ME3 MP (variety in powers, kits, guns, combos etc) and puts a little bit more emphasis on co-op nature, I'm willing to tolerate high amounts of sloppiness.

If they make it a first person/PvP game and compromise the variety, I don't think I'll stick with it even if it were to be glitch-free.

It's another 1.5 yrs before anyone sees the ME:AMP

I'm not going to worry about glitches now in the summer of 2015 and what that might/could be in Dec 2016, there's other more important things to worry about IRL than get your panties in a tizzy, and speculation only serves to make you crazy for no good reason at all B)

Deal with it after it has come out and then make your decision on facts, not speculation and BS hyperbole now

Yeah, December 2016.  I'll believe that when me sh*t turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbert.  My guess is Summer 2017.

I totally agree with the message of your post though.

You know what? I'd be totally cool with that if the game released was a knockout. Both SP and MP portions. After ME3 I think it would be in everyone's best interest if BW delivered the bomb, so to speak. And if that required more time to get it right then so be it.

I don't accept any Andromeda slop. And who knows where it's been, so I just pass it around. I'm fine with just ME3mp, thank you.

Yeah... I don't have a lot of faith in it. Considering the current description of AMP literally sounds the exact samas ME3MP.

Yes, it's sad. At least there's still Dark Souls if Andromeda fails. Not sci-fi, but still great online gaming & bright enough future. And the only other online game I've played.

The reason I think ME3MP did so well despite a rather large number of bugs was that it was the first time in any of the games you could get Mass Effect combat without the story.

Just drop in, pick a kit, suit up, and next thing you know the shuttle is ditching you on a planet crawling with all kinds of bad.

Before, if you wanted combat in the Mass Effect universe and style you had to either reload a battle you've already done, or commit to some serious gameplay time and hitting spacebar to skip convo you don't really want to hear anymore.

That's the itch it scratched for me.

Mind you, I didn't think I'd have to keep scratching it for another three years or so.

Pretty much my only deal breaker will be another troll store.

I recently maxed my manifest, and really, 761 hours of gameplay to unlock all weapons and level them up completely? That's bloody ridiculous. And apparently that's actually quite fast for a legitimate max? Guh. Told my old roommate last night that I finally unlocked it. He was mind-boggled I'd kept at it all this time. (He wisely gave up before Platinum even came out.)

You're right, the honeymoon is over. Now there are a lot of viable alternatives to this game's style. It's got to beat competition that's not with itself now.

Oddly enough, I actually liked the store. Sure, it could use a bit of modification, but the random factor made me use a lot of guns I never would have even given a chance before. Like the Valkyrie; that was my very first UR AR, and I thought it was freakin' amazing for the first hundred games I played. I first went into gold with that gun. Nowadays I don't think I've used it more than once in the last 200 games.

If you just let people buy whatever guns they wanted, it would ruin that; people would buy the best guns, and be done with it. The only alternative would be to make each gun equal but different, which in a way would be even worse, as it would make the game boring.

The jetpacks are there to get around Bioware's inability to code stairs or any elevation for that matter.
