I completed Vanguard playthrough on Hardcore and it was quite challenging and fun.
Now I started a Soldier playthrough on Insanity and it is easy, can't even imagine playing as a Soldier on hardcore or veteran..you gotta feel like a Terminator lol

Yeah, having a full range of weapons definitely helps, especially after you get the advanced training perk with either Geth shield or Barrier.

Well, the first thing I noticed is how many HP I have as a Soldier. My level 30 Vanguard with all the upgrades had less health than a mid level Soldier with 3/5 upgrades. Also, the slow time thingy allows you to headshot everyone in the room with ease.

Even without adrenaline shot, you can pretty much pick them off once you get some assault rifle upgrades

In the final mission, I was using Heightened Adrenaline Rush and the rapid fire sniper rifle to headshot 3-5 basic troops while on moving platforms. The bonus damage from both adrenaline rush and headshots will kill anything that's doesn't have defenses, even on normal.

Really gives you an idea of how scarily deadly Shepard is.

However, an adept can just as easily use Pull Field and Throw field to chuck a large group of basic enemies off a cliff.  Or an engineer with Freeze and Cryo blasts can lay waste to large groups as well.  Mordin in my team was the AoE nuker for me and he cleared out clustered enemies like crazy.

Some people like just shooting, others like the biotics.  It just depends on the player.

Yeah I'm finding the Soldier to be a insanely strong class. Then again he was strong in ME 1 as well.

Whats really crazy is giving a Soldier Barrier as their bonus. It turns my already Tank like beast into a God. Who needs cover anyways.

Well, Adept is not that good on Insanity. I belive it is great class for Normal, but on Insanity Soldier is the most efficent at killing. You cannot effectively use biotics on armored/shielded enemies.
Though Vanguard is the class I like the most so far (most fun).

Just think of Adrenaline rush like you were playing FEAR or Max Payne, you get your own bullet time that gives extra damage that stacks on top of head shots.

Also, concussive blast with the wider blast is nice for crowd control, otherwise it's better to just shoot.

Ammo powers are always on unless replaced, and always make your shots better, there is no drawback to using an ammo power since enemies still take the base damage. So, for that extra DPS, just throw on disruptor or incendiary.

I think the infiltrator is the best non-biotic. You have slowdown every time you zoom in, you have incinerate for destroying armor, you have the smg for barriers and smg+disruptor rounds for shields. You have AI hacking to handle synthetics that you can't target with incinerate. Cloak is great for getting out of a nasty situation. Cryo ammo is great for general crowd control, especially against enemies that swarm you, like husks.

They say sentinels are the jack of all trades, but I believe infiltrators are equally well-equipped for every situation - and they get sniper rifles.

Soldier have superior DPS (overall) and they also have all ammo types and all weapons. Sniper Rifle is great, but the LMG is even better overall.

Its your second time through the game. If Bioware balanced the classes right, then any class you choose next will make the game seem easier.

If you think a Soldier is a beast with sniper rifles, try an Infiltrator with Assassination Cloak, Disrupter Ammo, and the Widow Anti-Material Rifle bonus weapon specialization. You'll 1-shot fully shielded enemies in the head.
