So shortening the cooldown of SS doesn't affect how many you can throw out in a specific period of time?

No. Dark Sphere does.
And also, the delay in throwing swarms off-host isn't that big a deal. If you can deal with biotic charge, grenade issues off-host, it shouldn't be that difficult to get used to seeker swarms. After a wave or two, it's very easy to get used to.

I usually run a no-fitness hybrid build with the PPR. Deploy DS for crowd control, DC and PPR for taking down bosses in seconds. I rarely use the swarms to detonate, because i play mostly off-host and it's very slow and awkward.
I like them both, I go back and forth between the PPR biotic boldier and CSMG power build. His BE's are weak, but he overwhelms with quantity instead of quality. Oh, and Dark Sphere is one of the most satisfying powers in the whole game.

But the magic bug build is only really effective on host or really good connection. Since the delay in the Bee Orbs is too much when bugged and throws the rhythm off. Why having a Collector Adept with Sphere set for 4b 5b 6a is fine enough too. Since this build can do it all.
This way you don't have to worry about promoting again to fix the all 6 build too. >_>

Calling bullsh*t on that. I play offhost pretty much all the time, never have a problem with the magic bug.

It's the same bug as on the Volus Orbs/Juggernaut Siege Pulses/Slayer Phase Disrupter. On host you can toss all 3/4 back to back almost instantly. Off host or bad connection there is quite a bit of delay.

It's just not the same. Why off host I feel like playing this kit more or all weapon focus. While on host I take full advantage of his quick multi tasking abilities since my CPU can handle it. But still gives it quite the workout.

Read some of that again and it says in relation with duration. So I guess you're safe with 4a since it doesn't extend duration of DOT.

I do a "combo" build on the Collector Adept, with the CSMG with Warp Ammo or Phasics as my weapon. Usually go 5/3 or 4/4 in Dark Channel/Fitness, and take Power Damage at R4 and R5 and Weapon Damage at R6 in Passive. I use Dark Channel primarily as a quick-recharge stagger power and primer for Warp Ammo. Play style is to use Dark Channel and then headshot for individual enemies and Dark Sphere for groups. I fire off a Dark Sphere, start shooting, then detonate to stagger and kill some, then clean up the rest using a combination of Seeker Swarm BE's and more shooting.
