With the kind of "Western" Theme they've hinted at with the Music Choice in their Trailer, I hope they may take one or two or elven Pages out of Firefly's Book and turn us into someone very independent, with a very diverse Crew from many different Backgrounds and maybe allow us a bit more Agency of our own (even if the Plot stays as mostly linear as it progressed in the latter Mass Effect Games). This could range from actually letting us decide what to do to merely letting us define our own Goals or Stakes in this Game (allowing for "I'm only in it for the Money" to "My Name is Not Shepard. You killed my Father. Prepare to die.")

I don't know if one song in a teaser trailer can be considered an indicator for a theme.

Seriously doubtful. Those 'weapon firing' cutscenes quite often contained mistakes. This is a rather complicated problem that really no video game has tackled. Best case scenario I can envision is basically weapons in cutscenes being restricted to pistols.

Go look up Halo 2's cutscenes, you know, a game made back in 2004

Not Prrof, sure, but an Indicator off which one can speculate off? Sure.

I don't think they'll introduce a western theme. Maybe for one planet but even that is unlikely. They want that game to be a familiar Mass Effect experience, so they are not going to change their IP.

I believe we will be somewhat independent explorers by necessity, since our governments are in another galaxy. It now depends on how high in the hierarchy our protagonist is. Personally I'd prefer it if we started down in the ranks and got promoted over the course of the game.

Remove the whole paragon, renegade thing. Just allow us to make whatever decision we feel is best without having to succumb to choosing a side in a labeled duality. The reason I want this is because in ME2, (SPOILERS) when you got to choose whether to destroy or rewrite the Geth during Legion's sidequest, rewrite was labeled as paragon while destroy was labeled as renegade. What the hell? First off, I would think they would be switched but second, that's pretty morally gray and interesting enough without having to resort to putting the different decisions in its own bucket.

It's even worse because deciding to rewrite the Geth works against you in ME3. Nice job breaking it, hero. ;)

I would like it if they made charm and intimidate there own skills that you can level up regardless of paragon and renegade scores. That way you don't have to decide on all paragon or all renegade if you want to use those options. I would also like it if they put back the neutral dialog options since they were not vary present in ME3.

I want to actually see more...normal life in far future. I mean something like in Citadel DLC, with urban area to explore, ability to buy things that are not only gun upgrades, possibility to play some futuristic games on hologram screens or be part of some big ass futuristic party. Not Sims in space but like one or two missions to just unwind :P

More object interaction, specially on your ship.

Capacity to miicromanage some aspects of your ship, with penalties if done wrong (for example, overboosting your FTL drive has the risk of frying your eletric systems, etc.)

Sure... you start messing with the FTL drive and your engineer will stab you in the back, then claim self defense... and everyone will support him. :P

But Tali did it in ME3, and was just scolded!
