Now this is a good question. The Matchmaking is in my book DAMP's most worrying issue. I am eager to see what the devs have to say.

Also joining session... Your connection to the session has been lost.

I'd imagine that's a different issue from the devs' side, but it's all part of simply trying to get into a game, and happens so often as to be maddening.

Hi guys. I got the ultimate answer to this. Just host and play AW. If nobody comes, you can just solo with it. It's fun and interesting.

Matchmaking has been bad, many times I will go through the entire load screen dance and it'll pop me in a lobby by myself at the end, ugh. Today in particular, less peeps may be on because it's father's day. I haven't had a chance myself because of it.

It's mostly private games for me. If i search for a public match, for some reason it switches me to the create match lobby. I wonder wether it's a bug or if there's just no one there to play with.

On PeasantStation4, I had more empty lobbies and infinite join session loops and more CTDs by myself or my party members this weekend than I've had the entire time I've played DAMP.

We are like three steps outta ten back towards the Destruction DLC...

I tried to get a game earlier and disconnected while searching for a game about 20+ times, before I gave up and just started to solo. Nobody joined until Zone 3 at which point I lost connection. To my own game. Which I was hosting. As a solo player.

I had a simiar scenario recently, except the disconnect came on wave 4 after I had killed the boss and was dealing with the last few mooks. GG indeed.

cant find a lobby anymore in asia,, but it's fine I still got friends, then  the lose connection thing show up ..wouldnt you just let me play?

Every time I go random and random, the connection will be lost. When I search for threatening to farm, no session is available

Funny you should mention this. I am aiming for my virtuoso 250 operation challenge, I dislike playing this character normally. Prefer Avarr, Templar, Duelist and Keeper. So, I host my own public game and slice through routine just using power chord. Takes about 10 or 12 minutes. If anyone joins then that's cool, but I do not mess about with opening treasure rooms, nor opening the pots of gold. I do kill the "gold bunny" though

 

Can be funny sometimes when others join in. I always explain what I am doing immediately so that they can leave if they wish. They can put a level 1 on for some quick levels, if they open a treasure room as I am approaching the exit to the next zone I will wait, however if they start to spam "come here", I will simply proceed.

 

Normally I get a full team by zone 5, but this weekend I ended up soloing many more times which I thought was strange, so there could be a matchmaking issue.

u r right, i wasnt able to find a lobby most of the time so i left the game as well. almost all my friends did it as well, about half returned to wow and the second half (me included) started playing dark souls 2 again:-) i really enjoy this game (have over 650 prestige), but the matchmaking is impossibly broken. to tell the truth i had to force myself to even finish last 2 or 3 weekend events:-(

Same here, either fix match making or put new stuff into get people to come back, I used to play most weekends and all evenings, now I am playing other games, I also see this on my friend list, people play other games and have already moved on, sad really because I really want DAIMP to work!

 

Maybe they have given up, lets face it, when the balance updates started they were amazing and I think a lot of people returned, now these have become minor tweaks and although significant, not massively game changing..(tear jerking perhaps but then I have never understood the love for the Noodle Blade..)

 

Maybe its time for a patch to fix some of the ongoing issues we have been bringing up week after week after week after week or perhaps a DLC but I fear its too late for this game..

New content coming soon but this still won't fix all the netcode problems with this game, what's the point in new content if you can't play it with anyone? It's meant to be a multiplayer game.

Considering how often I can't join the hosts of people on my FL or randomly lose connection to their games, it almost feels like the game is punishing me for trying to play with friends. Sometimes the host incompatibility is remedied by restarting the game. Sometimes it isn't. and let's not even get into the random CTDs.

 

I really hope they get their sh*t together and put more effort into their netcode and matchmaking system for MEA, otherwise the future looks bleak for that game. I'm not sure I can take another mess like DAMP was in the beginning (and still is sometimes).

I am finding myself in empty lobbies quite a lot also.  

 

Two great people I play with are having fun on DiabloIII at the moment as it was on sale.  I bought it too but just don't enjoy it (keep thinking of promotions I am missing out on)

 

I start as Avvar or Duelist on Threatening to solo thesedays to see who joins, because I only have gold and agent challenges left to do, so I just run that over and over. 

 

It is usually stage 4/5 that people join and it's, more often than not, the same 5 or 6 names I keep running into....  there are times noone joins at all (PS4)

 

So if you are on PS4 and on my friends list, just jump in my game for gold/clears (or add me).  Doing E.Ruins are the moment @ 570k. OC is done. TR is around 196k.

When I join my brothers across the water matchmaking is incredibly fast compared to what I'm used to due to the massive player pool they have access to over in the US/Canada. If I'm hosting we have gone several games without picking up a pug. They may say it's not region locked but it definitely is, I have never been matchmade with Americans since this game came out apart from the week I went to the US to visit my dad where I would only matchmake with Americans. The region lock is real.

new content is coming.....but not for majority of the player base....matchmaking ll stay crap...
