One of the noticeable things in the trailer was the Jetpack. At the 1:15 mark of the trailer we see a character use it to ascend a mountain terrain. At the 1:30 mark we see a character use it to close some distance between the enemy so he can melee Assassin's Creed style. Based on this, what overall purpose do you think the Jetpack will serve? Will it simply be something like a Double-Jump command to help our PCs reach heights and leap a greater distance, will it be part of a combat skill set that would work like the Vanguard's Charge ability but for non-biotics, or a perhaps a mix of both?

We already have jetpacks in the MP of Mass Effect 3. The Turian Havoc and the Turian Ghost Infiltrator both use it. The Havoc actually has a power called Havoc Strike that works just like Biotic Charge, except it doesn't replenish your shields. You have Stimulant Packs for that though.
Jetpack Turians can evade, which the standard ones can not.

I actually hope it doesn't make it into the game but if it does, then I hope it'll just be a case of gaining height/leap a greater distance outside type thing, preferably with a substantial cool down & weight penalty, which will hopefully stop it becoming as ubiquitous as the Vanguards charge because it appears more OP than the Vanguards charge, if that's at all possible.

Use it like the Cerberus troopers do in ME3

Well, look at what they did with traversal in DAI.
I'm guess this might end up being something we can use to leap about and traverse planetary environments, in and out of combat. Or atleast, that's my hope.

I hope it's available to all classes. I do think it will be in ME:A or they wouldn't have shown it in the trailer. Of course, it would be the first time that something gets cut before the release.
