The abundant increase in price of games due to our shitty dollar is frustrating but what's more frustrating, what triggered me is that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (which contains the SP of all three uncharted games) is priced $74.99 on Amazon Canada and Bestbuy! Ridiculous! What's the point of being a console gamer when the games are overpriced, at least with the PC you get great discounts. I bought the PS4 to play console exclusives and games that i feel are more suited to console than to my PC. /Rant

As it stands right now $60 USD = $73.62 CAD, so the price is about right.
It's not like Australia where they're being screwed intentionally. Our economy just sucks compared to the Americans.

I think it's an australian thing. That must be the continents natural aura trying to kill gaming and instead of spiders, snakes, crocodiles, trees, sharks and dropbears, it's using politicians this time.

That's part of it, but games released later in the year are already priced at $79.99. I understand that the publishers need to make money but I wonder what impact an $80 price tag has on sales. I don't know if it will effect me much since I've really reduced the number of games I buy at launch after they increased the price point to $69.99, well that and the fact that a lot of games just aren't very good.

LOL. What, I think $2000 is a fair price for a game console!! Or at least if the console had blast processing inside!
Ha! Blast processing does tend to justify arm and a leg prices. How can it not?
