You would be surprised, with some of the bugs in various iterations of the Beta.

That said, said early-game states post-release are exactly why no one plays the Beta, anyway. :/

Beta test is a part of quality assurance. With good beta testing, you can remove up to 15% bugs before they leak into production, where it becomes much harder to fix (it costs more, takes more time to reverse the bugs, and you can't iteratively push new builds/updates to the server like in beta). If you want to have a mostly bug-less patch, then you need to do beta testing.

 

You'd be surprised at how many bugs there are, some we discovered along testing and that Luke wasn't aware about..

If bioware pays me for beta testing, then ill do it. Otherwise I see no reason to do someones paid job for them. If im going to play the beta it will be because my friends are playing it, which they aren't.

Fine, downloading the client now. Anything non-NDA I should be aware of to not cut myself of from the non-beta version, other than making sure I install it to a different directory?

I actually just unsubscribed from it (due to lack of time I won't be able to do any more testing) but it's worth doing if you can, there's some juicy stuff to test.

Yeah I know just how much it will help in the end. I'm just a 360 peasant that can't help anyways. I do appreciate the work you and the other beaters are doing. *i'm so sorry for that reference*

You get to test juicy stuff, as someone said earlier. Sometimes it's even *cough* fun *cough*

 

Anyways, if you guys ever get bored of Live, then a quick run on beta can't harm at all.

It's always fun to see the new stuff (up to a month before everyone else) and be able to provide feedback pre-release

Want more playtesters? Expand the beta to other platforms!!!!!  I'd kill to get into the beta but I'm not going to buy a second copy of the game just to do it. Expand the beta to Xbox One and I'd be contributing feedback almost everyday.

It won't affect your live version, so no need to do backups and such.

Same. I will not buy the game again for the PC just to maaaybe be aloud to beta test it, sorry! I'm really over buying PC games, seems like is always a 50/50 shot at it actually being able to run. Nope. Not gonna do it. Sadly console games aren't much better now days, but at least the fixes are easier for them to patch.... eventually, lol.

If your download is ridiculously slow you can also copy over your vanilla installation into a new folder with Beta tacked onto the end, delete the Patch folder, then update.  Make sure you repair your beta client before trying to play

Give me, for free, the bare minimum portion of the game I need to play the beta material and I will join the beta immediately. Make it happen Bioware.
