Can't even get beta testers? Well DAMP survived Evolve, the Witcher 3, GTA V, Bloodborne... but EOS killed it.
Seeing as ESO has been on pc for quite some time, that's probably not what it is.

To be honest, I can't be bothered to download the whole cilent again unless there are like sweeping changes in the beta or some such like Path of Exile is doing atm. But that's just because my internet is bad.

If people have X amount of time to play per day - Would they rather spend that time grinding up their promote stats or play testing the beta (which does nothing for their character). I think this is the reason.

I hear this argument a lot from SpaceV3gan.
Whether or not the progress from beta carries over, I don't care. The reason I play this game is to have fun.
If your version of fun is tied to grinding promotions over and over (or being in the top 10 on leaderboards), then I don't have an issue with that. However,
1. I like to be challenged. Good gear, builds and team composition are enough to play on harder difficulties, regardless of promotions. Playing as a scrub, you need to turn your brain back on and come up with creative ways to CC enemies, and find better team compositions in order to make intelligent use of the combo system. You finally start playing the necro because she can panic enemies, or the alchemist because of knockout bomb. This doesn't happen much in live, because players are overpowered nowadays.
2. I'm always enthusiastic about new content. Discovering new content before everyone else is always fun. It definitely helps me keep interest in this game, because I can't play too long without getting bored of not having new content.
3. I get bored playing live. Grinding out promotions is not my type of thing. This game isn't a MMO.
4. You directly get involved into making the game better. Providing feedback over the new content, finding bugs, etc.
At the end of the day, whatever makes you have fun playing this game is what matters most. For me, having an overpowered character on live and cakewalking through everything isn't my type of fun.

If bioware pays me for beta testing, then ill do it. Otherwise I see no reason to do someones paid job for them.
thats pretty much it.

Same. I will not buy the game again for the PC just to maaaybe be aloud to beta test it, sorry! I'm really over buying PC games, seems like is always a 50/50 shot at it actually being able to run. Nope. Not gonna do it. Sadly console games aren't much better now days, but at least the fixes are easier for them to patch.... eventually, lol.

You have good points and I agree with all of them, tbh. But if Bioware wants more beta testers I think they should make progress carry over. If they made this change, I think most of the pc player base would migrate into the beta. It's a win-win.

Same here. Give me a free copy for PC and I'll join the beta today. Even if the copy only plays the beta material. I have my X1 copy when I want to play the campaign or screw around in MP with my friends. Give me, for free, the bare minimum portion of the game I need to play the beta material and I will join the beta immediately. Make it happen Bioware.
...........
Please?
Eeehm, pretty sure you actually can do that. When you sign up for the beta, you're issued a beta key to add to Origin.

Ok.... I normally don't like beta's, but if you only have 4 testers..... I guess I can sign up. I'll see if I can get a few friends on.

ESO has never affect DAMP playerbase on PC. But who cares about ESO anyway? I would much rather have Destiny for PC ![]()

I wouldn't worry to much, I played it and it got real boring real fast. The gameplay is really fun but the lack of content is real.

I am with the XBOX one folks. I don't have a PC (mac here).
I'd be all up playing the beta if it was opened up to us. ![]()

Pretty sure you can't. I remember when they first opened the patch betas to the fan community, I clicked the sign-up link in the Keep because I was curious what the sign-up page looked like and because I do not have a PC version of DAI linked to my account (because I don't own one, only PS4), I was immediately dumped into some type of "Sorry, you don't meet minimum qualifications for sign-up" or some message of that flavor.
So, you gotta have a PC copy linked to your EA/Origin account already or no dice.
Unless they have changed something since then, but I highly doubt it.
(By the way, as much as I would love to help beta-test, even a free copy on PC would not help because my laptop doesn't have the guts to even run DAI).

BSN1: Well the are so many bugs, they really should fix the bugs
BSN2: They should patch all this issues it is really annoying...
BSN3: I want more stuff!
BW: we need some people to beta test so we can release relatively clean product..
BSN1: Who me?
BSN2: I don't have the time
BSN3: Why me?

I'd be more than happy to beta test on my PC but I'm not buying a second copy of the game just to do that and never use the game for anything else.

Out of curiosity, when the Xbox One goes full on Windows 10, would that mean it also becomes easier to bring stuff like beta servers to the X1?

Against my better judgment, I signed up. What are the best times to log in and play? I can see how ineffective this beta would be if I just soloed, so that information would help.
