If the protagonist of the trailer is not our player character, who do you think it might be?

 

Let's speculate and have some fun shall we ;-)

It's been posted.  It's probably a squadmate, mentor, or it really could be our PC and BioWare is just "fibbing."

As has been pointed out in the bigger thread, the person looks like they are in command. They make the decision where to fly after examining all the images with little targets on them. He then lands on one of those planets and engages some enemies in combat while a massive structure rises up out of the ground.

 

I believe he is looking for a star key from a Remnant vault (leak) and is either an antagonist or an explorer who will go missing. Some others disagree and think he is a multiplayer character and it is a khet outpost.

My guess is he's filling the leader/mentor role in the beginning of the game until he's (in longstanding Bioware tradition) killed in some spectacularly tragic fashion, and you step in...

 

So I'm just gonna call him DuncaN7 until proven otherwise... and maybe even then.

An antagonist if not the antagonist

According to the leak, we have a strike team that we send to all kinds of different places to investigate. What if this N7 dude (who is most likely the best [or second best] soldier in the fleet) is the leader of such strike team?

It's just a first introductory eye candy cinematic, showing varied planets, enhanced navigation and FTL drive.

 

Plus potential combat style, an enhanced Omni-Tool, some form of personal shield, one enemy alien race and one confirmed Krogan, possibly female. The other could be a representative of the new allied race, carying a shotgun, of all things. So, she can't be an Asari. Asari have Biotic Powers.

 

Normally I expect a Krogan to go one-on-one. But, this new female carrying a shotgun must also be a meleee character. I see no other explanation. Unless this is all BS and as Bio says,only representative of the game.

 

I'm not getting hyped over it.

 I mean no, but that person is probably on a very expensive ship,fiddling with some very fancy equipment, about to travel to any destination in this new galaxy,also he's an N7.Must be an important person.(That is if he is a potential character)

Could be just a marketing thing only.Just a badass N7 character to make the trailer interesting.

From the twitter comments, it does appear to be a character in the game.

Hmm if they have any old trilogy people make it into this one, a preset N7 male could be James...though I'm hoping for new character

Bioware sure is all mysterious with this char.... wouldnt be surprised if its a returning character. My money is on james ( he did want to be a n7 after all ).....
