Console, these days. :(

So, I have to use my imagination. Which I also did for housing. Building a beautiful manor near a lake is super great and everything, but it gets annoying when Bandits attack every other time I come home. People talk about damaged immersion here. Why would I adopt kids and put them in a house where they can't step outside because there's Bandits everywhere?

So, I pretended that I built a manor in Whiterun instead. And that the display cases actually hold things.

I'm confused are you playing the Sims or Skyrim? :P

This sounds like a fun game.

As rewarding as it is to play on the PC, I've probably spent half my time playing "Skyrim: manage your mods" edition.

I keep hearing that. Pc players never got around to actually playing the game, too busy mod hunting.

It's only sort of an exaggeration.

On the plus side, I can tell Delphine to lighten up, spare Paarthunax, AND clear out my quest log. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I never got to mod it, but I did watch that series on youtube about the Skyrim mods. Some of them were really entertaining...Like the shout that made flaming cheese wheels fall from the sky while Sheogorath yelled things in the background.

No, I actually played the game and only started to mod it halfway through. I didn't go far though. A few better armors and weapons to craft, better textures for landscapes, better female animations for the NPCs and a spirit horse I can summon whenever. And one mod to convert the leftover dragon souls into points for leveling up.

Skyrim is the only game I have modded like there is no tomorrow, kind of fun actually. I rarely use mods.

Yeah I played Skyrim unmodded on xbox for a couple months. Then got it on PC, discovered mods, and ... wow... wow ... WOW. I definitely spent way too much time researching "top ten greatest mods" lists, too. /rolls eyes ... at one point I had this mod that let me add more dogs to the world + recruit multiple companions, so I was roaming around Skyrim with a pack of dogs lol it was great. The dogs would just attack en masse while I sat back and chortled. They were immortal, too, for some reason. ahh dogs. good times guys, good times.

Did you see that one that let you make a fox into a friendly traveling companion? You could even control how aggressive it was and make it unkillable.

So you're fighting bandits, and there's one coming for you with a great axe, and suddenly there's a snowy fox just savaging his ankles and the thing won't die. I wanted that one so much.

It's worth getting into if possible, honestly, and the bar is low. You can run skyrim on a toaster. You won't be able to pretty it up that much, but there is still a friggin' universe of user created content that is literally a gamechanger.
