I know how you feel. I don't understand the attraction toward aliens personally. Save for Asari, for obvious reasons. Turians though? :blink: Obsessions with Tali and her sweat? Hell no.

Well, Nyreen was really the first species, short of quarians, who actually had a different sex that looked different from their main.

Salarian dalatress? Just a male model in a hood -- lazy.

Eve? Just a male model in a blanket -- lazy.

 

So, that I get.I was pretty estatic to see a female alien. And I didn't start to dislike the turians yet because I played the games before I looked at the community.

 

Like I'd be pretty hyped if I got to have a female Salarian squadmate.

I am pretty sure that's just what 95% of the population call "guys."  Though to be honest, I am really not sure.  All that CIS stuff still confused the frak out of me, though I am trying to comprehend it.  I could have it completely backwards.

I've always seen the Turian as lizards. Maybe raptor-like lizards? not sure why, maybe I've watched too many Jurassic Park movies. I'm also not sure about the attraction to Garrus, but I will admit I kinda liked Nyreen because the first time I saw her in-game I'd been wondering what female Turian looked like..

I'd be hyped to see any female of any race really. I was pretty stoked about seeing a female Qunari in DAI, for instance.

Well, if you insist, though it seems like a derailment... ;)

The Garrus attraction likely stims from his ME2 incarnation that turned him into a vilgante on Omega. I dunno, as cliche as those types of characters are, they're realllllly loved

I personally liked it more when he was just a C-Sec officer struggling with his morals.

When I first heard the term I thought it was short for sissy but apparently it is a straight as an arrow male. I was actually very relieved when I discovered that. The internets and the things you learn on it...

I guess so. I mean, I find Tali's accent adorable, so eh.

 

Suppose my problems with them is just how the whole fanbase goes up in arms for Garrus and I'm like, "Yeah, I guess he's pretty cool..." Then I see it more and more to the point where I'm apathetic about Garrus and roll my eyes when Turians are brought up.

 

I just have that problem though, the more I can't stop hearing about something, the more I dislike it.
