I would just like to point out that I'm not attacking anyone but I'm being attacked because I'm an IT believer posting in a thread about indoctrination theory that's my point and I was here when Chris Priestley shut down all those threads thank you very much he was a piece of s*** that said he wouldn't shut down the One Last Plea thread where we were minding our own business and staying in our little thread and then he did anyway so f*** Chris Priestley

I remember that, thread randomly got locked

It is not evidence proof, it just needs another POV other than Shepard.

But the final slides were from a different POV than Shepard's. Doesn't matter. It still gets handwaved away as really being from Shepard's POV, or now the player himself is indoctrinated, or whatever.

Before the mods did us all a favor and banned IT, its followers were frequently going into threads and insulting people for disagreeing with them.

'Only reason it is not happening now is because most of the group is simply no longer present around here. They have taken their rabid fanboyism elsewhere. And guess what? Its users love to spend their time over there taking shots with great vitriol at everyone who rejects their nonsense. Given that, there is no reason to believe they would be civil if they stuck around.

Thank you based Stan/Priestly..

Pretty much.

When things have reached a point where someone is getting abused by cultists because they made a joke about the Catalyst being a son of a EA/BW executive we very much have a problem.

Nor does BioWare have any obligation to tolerate a persistently disruptive group on their property that is also frequently attacking other fans (literalists) and spreading misinformation about the game ("true" ending).

I asked a question earlier in the thread that no one has yet answered. Why does the Leviathan DLC disprove IT? If anything, it seems to help confirm it. Leviathan and his species held lesser races "in thrall" and the Reapers modeled themselves after Leviathan's kind. "In thrall" = Indoctrination. Not to mention that the entire conversation with Leviathan was held in Shepard's mind.

That's the problem with telepathy and mindcontrol in fiction. You can't trust it. How do you know anything is real if anything could just be another vision, a mental construct? How do you know you're acting of free will if people can control your mind? This is also why mindcontrol is often treated as evil, because even if you are only using it for good purposes, the doubt lingers...

... except when the author of said fiction comes out and says: No, this actually happened, this is not mindcontrol, this is real.

Since I was not around for the Great IT Wars of 2012 can you elaborate? The only thing I've heard that was confirmed was a dev tweet that said the breath scene did take place on the Citadel.

I don't understand why it is so important for you to be right. Everyone says the IT'ers are bat **** crazy but were not the ones going into threads and telling people they have to believe this or that. No one is bothering anyone let us have our little thread and leave us be.

Hmm, I guess I mistakenly took this to be a discussion forum:blink:

Leviathon may not disprove IT in itself (but in tandem with EC, it does- for all intents and purposes at any rate), but Leviathon corroborates much of what the butt-child relates to Shepard on the Citadel as factual.

"Don't you dare insult me or say something mean about me. If you do, lock thread, delete and/or ban."

The BW nuke, used many times during the Great IT War of 2012.

It's a forum, populated mostly by people very emotionally involved in the game, and you expect reason in the face of lunacy? (ME3 endings)

"EA rushed me" is no excuse, nor is intolerance for such behavior.

Is it a coincidence that Casey Hudson left after laying the biggest egg?

At one point, the ITers discussed creating IT merchandise.

Lol. You realize that what you are proposing is that not only was the ending so bad that they had to move the story to Andromeda, but it was so bad that they had to move it to Andromeda AND adopt IT?

That's a bit overkill, no?

Probably the reason behind needing another galaxy is the ending. Wont be reapers or Shepard, or any of what Mass Effect was except the races. They made up an excuse of a story for traveling to andromeda (hopefully something that makes sense) to make people forget the whole mess. Dragging along the ending of the trilogy or anything directly connected to it would be their biggest mistake in ME4.

Wasn´there when it was discussed. What was the point anyways. AFAIK the theory was that Shepard got indoctrinated and was still lying somewhere in London. And the end sequence was a battle of wills or so. Does ist mean the Reapers won?

No. IT means that if you picked anything but "Destroy", your squad mates had to fight the indoctrinated Shepherd and then trigger the Crucible themselves. An ending that I still maintain would be badass.

Ah, you follow 'that' version of IT.

One of it's many forms.

Whatever it takes not to accept the endings for what they are, huh? ;)

I was and left for several years. It got to the point that say you and I were discussing a point, quite civilly, but disagreed with one another. It then became an open invitation for people to just hijack what we may have been discussing and turn it into the same discussion they'd co opted several times previously. Despite every example of proof that they offered being disproven using in game examples, they'd still hijack conversations such as what was your favourite race. And if you disagreed with them you'd get a tirade of abuse. I left shortly after letting loose a tirade of my own. Such cursing was uncalled for.

Still a better ending than synthesis.

Sigh!  Grammar is your friend.  I said "would be badass," - as opposed to "was badass" - implying that that ending did not in fact occur.  Besides, the endings are whatever we say they are.  Authorial intent is not dispositive.

Would be or was is completely irrelevant for what I said.

What happens to shepard then? If the breathing scene really does happen then what happens to him between the end of ME3 and MEA? Maybe he will be mentioned in MEA in the codex entries

how do you know it was shepard and not the new guy for the new ME games? we see in the new video for me:a a person wearing an n7 armor plate so he could be a suviver from the war

Because Bioware said the guy in the N7 armor isn't our character for Andromeda
