Won't buy Andromeda if it will be released on Origion only or if having Origin is mandatory in order to play Andromeda. This is for the same reason why I do not buy or play Ubisoft games, to avoid dealing with uPlay.
Origins only?

Then you wont be playing ME:A on PC.
Every EA game is Origin only these days.

Origin is light years ahead of Uplay. Anyway, it will definitely be required.

It will be only on Origin, even if you buy it on disc it has to use Origin. With Mass Effect 3 and DA:I i would have thought people knew this by now.

In that case, Steam is lightyears ahead of Origins.

Then I guess I will have to pass up on ME:A. Doubt it will be any good anyone, with company's recent game history kept in mind.

You can always play it on console if you don't want to deal with Origin. I think it will be good, but time will tell.

Well then why are you wasting everybody's time?

Uplay, I understand.
Origin, on the other hand, is quite a good thing. And I have much better experience with EA Tech Support than trying to reach those clowns over at Valve to get TechSupp with anything Steam related. Those people just loooove sending you off so that someone else can help you, but when it comes to asking THEM, it's all "nope, can't ask without looking for the right button for half an hour."
On the other hand, pretty much every time I asked EA Tech Support for Origin related information, I had my answer in a reasonable time frame, and I had a good answer.
As for Uplay, well... I believe that much like some things are user-friendly, the term "user-hostile" should start being used more commonly. In relation to Uplay. Yuck.

He just couldn't bottle up all that truth any more. He had to let the world know how he feels about Origin, and the brave stand he's taking in opposition to it. Damn the consequences.

Steam's customer service has improved tremendously in recent months. Now, rather than just ignore you, they acknowledge your concerns and then spit on you.

In what regard exactly? The two areas where it could make improvements is the storefront and some more tweaking to the UI.
Just because EA is making it doesn't make it the worst thing ever, in fact I have had much better customer support from Origin then Steam. It took months before I gave up on an issue on Steam because the amount of time I spent was more then the value of the game.

I don't know about customer service, my problem is the language. I live in Germany, Origin is set to English ... but the store is still in German. It even offers you a pulldown menu to change your language. Only one available is German. FU EA. A couple of games are only available in German or French (Dead Space for example) and some games don't even have an option to change languages. You either get lucky and get the one you want during first install (DA:I), you have to tinker with *.ini files (ME3) or you're out of luck (Dead Space).
I have never had any such problem with Steam. Not once.

I plan on playing this on PC to stream to twitch when it released, and my Xbox One. I'll probably play mostly console cause all my friends are lazy jackwipes that don't want to build their own PC lol.

I was just snarking. Steam has a lot going for it, just like Origin still has some strikes against it (the one you mention here is the most egregious). I just think Steams gigantic monopoly is irritating and I'm glad that Origin works well enough to compete with it now (though I reserve most of my enthusiasm for GOG Galaxy - wish more developers had the integrity to put their games on there as well).
