First Mordin singing as the Shroud blew up and now Thane praying for me on his deathbed. Dammit. So many tears. But then I look over at my cat and he's got that, "Da fuq is wrong with you?" face. And then it was a weird, cry/laugh.

 

This damn game.

Mass Effect is one of the few games that really tugs at my heartstrings

Mass Effect 3 is an emotional rollercoaster. And it's still my absolute favourite out of the three, as much as it hurts me sometimes. Even the soundtrack is mainly sad.

 

If you need a shoulder to cry on, feel free to poke me. I know that feeling of thinking you have to be a bit weird to cry like a baby over a videogame, lol.

Even now sometimes when I listen to An end once and for all it can happen that I shed a few tears. Not fair

 

There are probably only 3 games I played that made me cry like a baby, and ME3 is definitely one of them, and probably even the worst.

Suicide Mission from ME2 on the other hand...

I almost teared up on Grunt's mission. Him getting out alive made me smile with relief. I saw Mordin and Thane die before that so that was kinda the last straw

Huh never thought of that... O.o yah Rannoch was painful to play through but bad ass as well

Taking on the Reaper, on foot, and Tali saying she loves me and Shepard saying Keela'Salai in response. 

 

Very powerful moment there.

Rannoch was super sad for me last time. Tali and Legion were friends, and I could only either side with the quarians or the geth. I chose the quarians and Tali killed Legion to help me, then went emotional on him, and me along with her. It was one of my favourite moments in that playthrough.

The decision mechanics of whether to reveal the Shroud Sabotage or not is still one of the most powerful RP moments in the entire series.

 

Otherwise launching the endgame in all games is epic stuff:

 

ME1- the Ilos beam run

ME2- Suicide Mission

ME3- launching the fleets

 

as is the endings of ME1 and 2 (but never 3).

Just did Synthesis for the first time since the extended cut, and although I'm still not a huge fan of the endings, it still somehow made me tear up.

 

The part where Tali hangs up Shepard's plaque after his death and EDI mourning Shepard with Tali and hugging her.

Sure, ME3 can definitely make player cry but if you really want to open the floodgates there's no better game for that than Valiant Hearts: The Great War.

Anyway, ME 3 really hit the nail with the impending doom feel and despair as the Reapers close in on the galaxy. Ultimate war for survival. You should go talk to the Commander Bailey couple times as game progresses, his voice actor made a fantastic job. You can almost taste the fear in his voice.

That song fits the mood wonderfully.

And apparently other people thought it was moving too, because I just watched a PBS documentary that featured the song. Couldn't believe my ears at first.
