In the last and highly successful, critically acclaimed, and absolutely jaw dropping multiplayer mode for ME3, many people enjoyed an awesome social gaming experience.

You know what would take groups like Premium Spectre, Alliance Hazard Force, PC Players, Lurkers United, and SPAM to the next level?

Integrated Multiplayer Clan support using these wonderful groups we have on this site.

Think of it like this, a bolder better friends list independent of the clunky lists that already exist on each gaming platform. With more people. This way, you could actually be able to have enough space on a friend's list. And you could find people to play with so you never have to play with randoms.

In my opinion, it would be nothing less than the heightened golden age of social gaming interaction that was the ME3MP community of 3 years ago.

Of course, you most likely disagree, or agree, or stopped reading my post after the first sentence.

But I want to make a discussion about this.

Good ideas. I want some extensive stat tracking along with some form of matchmaking based on it, so I don't get put into gold/plat games with N7 18 baddies and their Avenger 3s or career puggernauts that take nearly a half hour to curry.

Also, so I can statbash people on the forums because they're worse than me.

Yes. For Multiplayer.

I think they would be a positive addition. However, this is my opinion. There is no need to spread it around.

If they do this they should also let us rent servers for our clan, so we can enforce awesome rules like only allowing people to play quarians or else get kicked from the lobby, as well as moderator plugins that let me autokill and ban anyone who dares to try and outscore me.

Agreed on some points, the ability for dedicated server hosting would also remove all the problems that comes with P2P gaming.

I don't care for clans.  I just want to enjoy multiplayer.  I was... OK at it.  Don't think I'd do it competitively.  Only way I'd join one is if I make long lasting friends off of the forums that own a decent PC or Xbox One.

I've been a member of a clan for some eight, nine years. Trust me, it's not as cool as kids think. Well, I guess for the kids, it is. When you grow up, things change up a bit, and somebody has to take the leadership. Thank f*ck, my current CL is a person who's been around almost just as long as I was.

The idea of seamlessly playing with people on your friendslist is a good one, but not via clan support. Those things gets quickly mired in tribalism and negativity in a games community. What we need is more online cooperation and not more online dissension. In a sense all mass effect fans are already in the clan called N7.

I love the concept of clans.

A bunch of primitives band into these tribal groups and shake their angry sticks at other tribes, hooting and hollering that they are better. They do not help other people outside their tribe unless trying to either add them to their tribe, or receive something from them. They compete over the unaffiliated just as they compete for prestige created through outdoing the other tribes; doing something harder, better, faster, stronger.

In short: I approve of this.

(Just don't ask me to join one, I prefer my freedom. *eats cheeseburger as fireworks go off*)

I'd like a clan system, but what this game needs is a vote kick system during the game, not just in the lobby.
I play with 3 friends so we always end up with a random player, most of the time they're OK but sometimes they're trolls or leechers, and these few times, it makes you hate the game.

Clan are almost always recruiting, and helping newbies (in hope of recruitment)
Maybe if you weren't (roleplaying ?) an arrogant jerk, people would invite you to their clan or help, but considering your attitude I understand they don't

You seem to have missed the part where 'it's a joke and I approve of implementing a more organized feature for group play'.

Also: I don't join clans because I prefer drifting from place to place, unattached and free to do as I wish, when I wish, without having someone calling me off to go do something I don't want to do at that particular time; I don't like the near mandated obligations that come with a consistent group.

It wouldn't hold you down. Clans would be as helpful as ultra-rare guns. Not necessary in the slightest, but they enhance gameplay for everyone.

I think the potential for abuse is too high for the payoff. I would simply prefer an easy way to add the player to your ignore list so that in the future you wont run into them. It's only a few minutes of lost time to see out the game or if really bad you can leave.

I've seen the vote kick system in the best multiplayer games (Unreal Tournament, etc...) and it never became a problem.
If someone abuses the system, the game can remove this system for that person (or make it ineffective).
I prefer to be able to kick the griefers/cheaters/AFKers I meet in game, even if that means I'll get kick from a game by 3 trolls who kick me just for the lolz.
Even though the ignore system you mention is a nice addition, but most often, it only mute players, it doesn't prevent matchmaking to put you in the same lobby

I think BW needs to do this BUT only if the player meets a certain set of criteria and only if the kick vote is unanimous. Like inactivity after a certain period OR non contribution on the scoreboard. Vote kick needs to be followed by a teammate initiating an in game execution on that player, like kicking them in the balls so hard that their head explodes into a pink mist.

Not sure if that was directed to me, but I don't kick people because they're bad (I remember the first week on ME3MP, we couldn't pass 8th wave in Bronze with a friend), I want to kick players because they're cheaters/AFKers.

I was under the impression the ignore system already exists and works, including matchmaking, at least on PC. I guess I don't know that it works 100% but have been told it does. The only issue with it is you have to remember the guys name and type it in, and since a lot of people have non-word names it can be a little tricky. If there was a bit more integration it would solve the problem. Kicking is definitely abused on occasion. AFKers are automatically kicked after a couple of minutes, having this as a customisable setting for time limit would help.

WHoa, whoa. It's concentrate on teh positive experiences here that will obviously happen. Maybe clans could ween more SP players into multiplayer. That would be excellent
