Re-read what I wrote as I believe you missed the "added in latter iterations" part.

Cortana and Miranda Keyes were primary characters in the original trilogy. Cortana is barely sexualized in comparison to ME characters and it is explained why she looks like so in the lore. Kelly and Linda have been in the lore since the original game, it's now that they are also being implemented into the games. Halsey as well, although she has been in the games for a while now. I could keep going

Evne then, there is Cortana, Foehammer, Miranda Keyes, and Halsey who have all been major characters just in the first 3 games (although Foehammer only appears in the first game and Halsey doesn't appear on-screen until Reach). Halsey herself is arguably the most influential character in the entire series besides the Chief.

If we're counting spin-offs, there's also Dare from Halo 3 ODST, as well as Serina and Professor Anders from Halo Wars.

Yep, you're even mentioning ones I forgot (Anders)

I was literally laughing to tears a few mins ago.

Don't forget the indoctrination theory fools who after 3 years still insist their theory holds up and that Bioware will deliver in ME4.

Believe it or not, thinking about space terminator and frankenmom(and starchild) still cracks me up. I was literally laughing to tears a few mins ago.

I can vouch for that. I'm with Seboist in a voice call right now. Haven't had such a great laugh in a while. All thanks to the Mass Effect franchise and everything that came from it (IT included).

You like Kelly because she has the Cassandra thighs :P

I didn't even notice her thighs until you pointed them out. Kelly's got them juicy legs though, mmm....

For real tho, Kelly is a warrior zen monk and is the fastest human to ever live, and Linda is the best sharpshooter in the history of the UNSC. Linda killed a group of Elites (I think 3 or 4, I don't remember the number) so fast with her sniper rifle that Chief couldn't tell the order in which they were shot.

Don't forget the derpy Space Terminator that was a knock off of a Contra 3 boss(the latter of which made more sense in it's context).

It still makes no sense to me, that it looked like a human. All Reaper designs are based on Leviathans, we learn that in ME3.

The hype is real to play as Linda in Halo 5. I'm playing co-op on my first run through just so I can :P

IIRC, the human-shaped frame was the interior, which would have fit inside the cuttlefish frame which would have served as a protective shell.

With people like why should they? I mean you just keep on giving such wonderful pearls that induce so much laughter.

So, if I understand, you guys hate the games but still post on said forums, years after release, and will pay for ME4, but I'm the one worthy of mockery?

Cortana is as sexualized as EDI is in ME3. They're both artificial women that are essentially naked.

I have also only played the first 3 Halo games, but I cannot for the life of me remember who the hell Miranda Keyes is. Googling her picture doesn't help, either.

We aren't the ones advocating for space jesus or star kid here, so pretty much yes.

You also mistake our attitudes for people that hate the games: We just don't give a **** about hating them.

As compared to the playable female main character in ME1. Ashley, Tali and Liara as squad mates as well as all the other major female characters on the ship, planets and the Citidel. Halo and ME are very different games, always have been and hopefully always will be.

You can't have paid attention to the story then, she was a major character, and several more female characters were in the games after 3.  There's also a difference between an AI hologram and a robot wearing a catsuit with camel      toe

Hate the games? I've played all three and have put 100+ hours into ME3 multi. I must be a glutton for punishment then.

She's the captain of the In Amber Clad from Halo 2, and later on the captain of the Forward Unto Dawn in Halo 3. She also led the UNSC expedition to the Ark in Halo 3. She's the woman who was killed by the Prophet of Truth in Halo 3, when he shot her 7 times with a Spiker. Other than Cortana, she was practically the female co-lead.

Also, spoiler alert for an 8 year old game that everybody and their dad has probably played, I don't care.

Yeah, John even inwardly admits that Linda is most likely the best of all the Spartans. At least until the Librarian gave John an upgrade.

Oh, the famous cameltoe.

Or banshee bits!

I want to know who thought to detail the banshee bits. Yikes.

I'm not "advocating" for either. I don't think that means what you think it means. I just like the games and I think they're fun. And I loved ME2. You don't. Good for you.

Tbh Linda, Kurt, Kelly, and Noble 6 are all my favorite Spartans besides Chief. It's a shame that of those 4, only half of them are still alive in the canon. On the other hand, the remaining half are playable in Halo 5, so there's a silver lining in there.

edit: Also, Alice (from Halo Wars) is really cool, since she uses a detached minigun turret as her primary weapon.

I did pay attention, I just don't remember her. I don't remember every detail about every story I have ever heard. I also didn't think the games were that amazing on story as you obviously do.

There is a difference, but both are very sexualized characters. Plus, Tali, Liara, and Ashley aren't any worse than Cortana either.

I love Mass Effect, even though the second and third games are pants-on-head. I want MEA to be good, so I'll monitor its progress and provide input where applicable. Not that they'll listen to me.

They still have my favorite science fiction setting, full stop. The games are still fun to play.

It's too bad that if you are playing solo, you have to be John and Locke.
