I liked the idea behind the DA:I armors, the only problem was they wasnt enough an well every piece looked the same, bit more time spent on the system, more "fashion" outcomes with arm/leg combinations and there should be enough to keep everyone happy.

I really like the SWTOR idea, maybe not most of the armours, but the idea is solid, just basically have "fashion" and put armour/weapon mods into the design that way no armour/weapons ever becomes redundant if you like the look of it, just upgrade the mods

To be honest, I'd rather they just completely disassociated appearance and stats/abilties. City of Heroes did this right - the character creator wasn't just your face, but your entire appearance (and you could change it whenever you wanted).

Yes, DC Universe Online did the same. You had your appearance (which you could change anytime) and you had the gear you wore which often was a mish-mash of 4 or 5 different styles. Not that anyone could see. ^^

CoH didn't even do that. The "gear" you collected wasn't clothing or armour (it was various ways of giving bonuses to your powers, depending on your origins - training methods, mutagenic chemicals etc.), it didn't have any appearance to hide. And it was wonderful.

Serious question:  What was the general reaction to FemShep's armor, like the one in this picture.  I know that it's fan art, but it's based on actual Bioware promotional images.  FemShep in the original images was in a gender neutral stance that was very similar to mShep and her armor is (a) realistic; (b.) comparable to mShep's; (c.) not overly sexualized; and (d) still feminine (as in, no one will look at it and not realize that she's a lady).

I actually think that the ME3 FemShep images were right on track.  Were there concerns about them when they first came out?  I can't remember.  I know it's "boob armor", but outside of that.

I'm saying that because I look at those pics and compare them to the new promotional pic with the contorted 'sexy' body shape for the woman and I think there's a clear difference.

It was sexist.... but then again everything is sexist the Normandy looks too phalic and the Citidel looks to much like a Vagina.

I mostly remember the complaints about that godawful zipper dress with FemShep.

God that thing was hideous. Whoever designed that outfit *shudders*

What's comical about the femshep contest marketing gimmick is that it failed to raise the number of femshep users beyond 18%. That really showed what a fringe minority the femshep fanboys were.

The Citadel unfolded like the petals of a flower as the Normany approached slowly. Carefully, gently moving closer, aiming directly for the center where docking clamps quivered with anticipation. The ship penetrated deeper into the station's interior, passing the welcoming arms, its thrusters glowing hotly. For what seemed an eternity but only took a few minutes the Normandy danced within the Citadel until it finally came to rest in its dock, discharging its crew before it powered down.

... ahem.

I should go.

Indeed.

And as shown by the da:i stats they released, xbox players are disproportionately more likely to play as a man than any other platform. I'm not sute what that says about them.

So in other words that stat is bollocks, as is any argument that uses it as evidence to prove a point.

He doesn't overact so much as he has a nervous breakdown on camera. And I can't think of a single movie where he DOESN'T do it. Maybe Knowing, but that movie is so slow and boring that nobody has time to work up any kind of emotions.

I wouldn't say he over-acts in Lord of War. If anything he undersells in that movie(my personal favorite of his).
