It's probably important to remember the first rule.

  • Be respectful and courteous
The BioWare Forum is a safe and constructive space to discuss BioWare Edmonton/Montreal developed video game content and related items. In order to keep this a fun place for all community members, there are a few ground rules that must be followed for all methods of communication.

It is okay for users to disagree with one another, but opinions must be expressed in a reasonable and polite manner. It is important to maintain an atmosphere of civility and respect, so that all voices may be heard.

Only if that rule actually applied :P

I can't believe people like you still exist in this day and age "sigh" I should have known better.

People like me will continue to exist and point out that ME was little more than another linear TPS franchise with faux-choices, yes.

Better get used to it.

Unfortunately, some on here would rather wave their finger and act morally superior instead of posting a counter-point, as we can see a few posts before.

It's true that Mass Effect is largely just a series of linear missions that you're allowed to do in whatever order you want, although I think in general people act like being linear is far worse than it actually is these days. There are strengths in having a linear game, especially if you're trying to tell a story like BioWare is.

Mass Effect 3 is also one of the few games I've seen that managed to blend solid gunplay with ability use very well, and with more ability use than just "here's one ability you can use every once in a while".

Okay yes I wasn't very courteous and quite rude it's just sad that to improve their gaming experience some people will say too cut out content that other people love. And I've seen it so much that it gets me bitter when ever I see someone saying to axe something to improve their own experience.

LOL so serious that i took the liberty to search iron bull up and look at all that armor

Bull's heavily scarred and his combat style is all about hitting the opponent stronger as he gets closer to death so it at the least was consistent.

Plus Bull is one of the squishiest characters in the game. (Unless you S&S him and generally if you go that route you're gonna put him in heavy decent armor).

**** Vivienne is more durable than he is. Well to be fair Vivienne is more durable than half the damn party...

No more so than people taking this entire topic too seriously. It's a videogame, what people wear into battle doesn't and shouldn't matter. On most other gaming forums this topic wouldn't even be a thing.

Why shouldn't it matter?

If people are willing to buy it, then I don't see a problem. Options are good.

Pretty much.  I'm all for options and I like that the ME team gave people options when it came to companion armor.  That's how it should be in Andromeda.   But simply asking for options isn't as fun as playing dictator.

Seriously though if there is an option for practical/nonpractical I'm not going to care? I just don't want to be stuck in a ME2 scenario where I have to pay to have my crew not look like fools in combat if I can do so at all. Thane and Jacob never had practical armor.

But if I do get stuck with just one type I rather it be sexy as ship wear and practical as let's *** some things up wear.

Miranda chose her outfit herself because she knows her body's assets can be a useful tool in certain situations. "Give me an edge" I believe her exact words were.

People who use that excuse tend to forget it can just as easily be a liability in other situations.

This.

I'd also like to have more options that are sexy to *my* eyes - and cameltoe catsuits aren't it.

Exactly.

Miranda isn't comfortable enough with her body to actually use it as a tool.

This is exactly where the catsuit falls apart for me.

I can see Vivi rocking her glam robes with her model strut everywhere.

I can't see Miranda rocking that outfit everywhere.

What makes me lol though is the one femme fatal character in the game. Morinth is the one wearing all the clothes. Just. Wut mate.

Funny you should mention that. I was just thinking about how much more sense it would have made for Samara's and Morinth's outfits to have been reversed.

Because we all know that any self-respecting member of an ancient warrior monk sect committed to living and dying by a brutal code that has sworn off romantic involvement would walk around in a catsuit w/ heels and her cleavage on display.

Well, beside the gal in the last jurassik park movie? Yuk, not that that was the most immersion breaking thing in the movie, but still...

By the way, yeah...outside of missions and combact situation, companions can wear what they want. But in toxic places and such...a mask and trousers are not really logical (looking at you, jack.) just Like catsuits and boobs windows.

She does kill one enemy with the heel so maybe it's necessary weapon for her? :P (crushes Asari's neck in her recruitment quest).

It's like how real men fight shirtless and deflect bullets with their glorious beards.

There is also some armour plates on her outfit. Just... not anywhere they might be useful.

I'm okay with characters sexualization... as long as you actually romance them. Seeing Miranda's ass so many times while I was playing a gay Shepard was a little bit awkward for me as a player... and I never flirted with the character. Right there, I thought BioWare messed up and disrespected women by making Miranda a sex doll. Just my two cents. I'm so thankful that wasn't the case in ME3 and the angles weren't focusing on her buttcheeks all the time.
