I have nothing against sexy characters (hell, I even make my characters in WoW transmogrify into ridiculous armor scraps just for the sexy) --- it's the little things that bother me, like Miranda's buttshots, Benezia's cleavage shots, immersion breaking armor in vacuum & ridiculous poses no (wo)man would make. There's nothing wrong with fantastic butt, but don't stick it in the first plan when our characters talk about serious things (same with Benezia). The vacuum thing is ridiculous, I almost wanted to send them back to their room when I saw what armor Miranda & Jack had in vacuum (meanwhile, my Femshep was carrying several kilos of Kestrel armor on herself & a helmet hiding all that eyerolling she was doing).

 

Just.. make it sensible (there's a difference between sexy and sexualized).

I don't mind sexy characters as long as it makes sense and it's not overdone. Miranda's and Jack's outfits were fine but for the love of god you're in near vacuum or in a planet where the sun can instantly scorch you, put some armor and a proper helmet on wtf.

 

I didn't particularly like Samara's outfit, she's some kind of monk/knight thing and has no interest in romance so why exactly is she going around almost exposing her boobs in a skin-tight catsuit and heels? Hell, Morinth whose purpose was to seduce people was wearing less revealing clothes than Samara.

 

Oh and I didn't appreciate the boob/butt shots either, they were unnecessary and distracting in a bad way.

Well, just to give my 5 cents worth.

 

To me it's silly and immersion ruining with too highly sexualised characters (armor and clothes) and character actions in combat and in a normally professionally minded situation and/or enviroment. 

 

In applicable situations/enviroments, I think it is completely applicable, with sexualised characters and character actions. Eg. getting it on with your love interest or visiting a seedy club that contains strippers. 

 

That's in regards to games... More generally... It's a right to choose whether you want to sexualize yourself or not. It's not a right to decide, how others view you, what others can enjoy or choose to do. It's up to me and me alone, whether I can stick my ass out, out so far it ends on a poster or not. By far most likely that I won't, if bullets are flying around it.

You know what I hate the most about that butt? How incredibly up the butt crack those pants are. I mean.... how uncomfortable that must be?? Just think about those UTIs. As a fellow lady person, I feel for Miranda, but not for the reasons Bioware wanted me to.
