You know what I hate the most about that butt? How incredibly up the butt crack those pants are. I mean.... how uncomfortable that must be?? Just think about those UTIs. As a fellow lady person, I feel for Miranda, but not for the reasons Bioware wanted me to.

Whenever I see dat ass with the clothes all shoved up her nether regions, I just go Ew...   It really, truly, grosses me out.  I did buy an alternate outfit pack, so I wouldn't have to look at it through most of ME2, but still haven't found enough brain bleach to remove it altogether.

What material is Miranda's outfit made of though? Some sort of mesh padding? It could be comfortable then, you never know, maybe Bioware should have included an option for Shepard to ask her but they didn't so we'll never know.

Please give us more overly sexualized female characters please Bioware. And maybe throw in ONE but only ONE male character who is overly sexualized for the females and gays to keep them happy. Also he's completely optional to recruit because I don't want to see close ups of his bulge unless he's dressed like and looks like David Bowie from Labyrinth then that's fine and especially fine if we get to acquire his outfit or similar outfit to wear on our character.

I saw my baby, crying as hard as babe could cry! What could I do?

Meaning.... what exactly?

That because something exists somewhere on the internet, everyone should include it in their daily lives?

That's fine actually, here James is shirtless for a reason, and on the battlefield he wears heavy armor.

Not every female squadmates could claim that.

Every?

Ignoring all the obvious comments this thread warrants, I'll just say one thing: BioWare has quite a good track record when it comes to designing characters, so I trust them to get it right... there are other areas, though, where they could improve - better concentrate on those.

Not every, meaning there were some good outfits; Ashley and Liara in ME1 had armor on the field, even Liara's labcoat later on didn't really bother me as it looked quite sturdy and practical. There was Tali with her Quarian suit, and even Miranda with her alternate costume.

But outfits like Samara, Miranda, Jack, Jacob, Thane...ugh

As long as whatever armor people are wearing don't give them space wedgies. Miranda and Tali, and even heavy armor femshep in ME1 make me cringe in sympathy. Boobs are a fact of life, but wedgies that need eezo to counter the gravity between buttcheeks is just ewwww.

Currently in San Francisco airport mildly tipsy waiting for my next flight. All I have to say is if they aren't in combat, they could wear a two piece bikini if that is what makes you comfortable. All I want is for my squadmates to be properly eqiped for combat. I wanted SOO bad to give Miranda a combat suit like Shepard, but outside of that they can wear what they please. EDI has the excuse of being made of metal so it is forgiven.

Though sometimes what's sexy to some people, can be overly sexualized to others. Which can get frustrating to me.

To be honest, Jacob was there to counteract Miranda, but I didn't like his ridiculousness too. To me they're both like running gags in ME, rather than characters I find sexy (which is a shame, because I rather liked fighting with both of them).

On the other hand, what I did find sexy, was for example Traynor shower scene. There is some ridiculousness in there too, but the characters aren't reduced to caricatures, and that to me is the biggest difference.

I pretty much go *lol and facepalm* in every single scene with her, because of that.

Probably not what bioware intended either. :D

Agreed, but I also think you can get away with ALOT... If you use it, at the appropriate time and place. Would people really have batted an eye, if miranda wore something equally revealing (or nothing), in the bedroom. Pre/post ... uhmmm coital...

I did Jacob's loyalty mission and after that, he was generally parked somewhere.... I found no use for him. He came across as a military marionette.

Meh, you can never satisfy everyone, there will always be extremes on both sides. I think at least most of us can agree that characters can be sexy without ridiculous skimpy outfits that don't fit the character's personality and defy all realism or gratuitous butt close-ups.

I agree to some extent, but if I plant myself infront of a stripper in the game, I more or less expect butt close-ups... Or if it was in the normandy's cabin and the mood lighting was on.

On the other hand... in the xo's office, trying to have a serious conversation? Uhm... no...

Just needs to be the right time and place...

Precisely this, I like sexy in my fictional worlds, but don't make me laugh at it.

It's fine in the cases you mentioned because it actually makes sense. But zooming in on Matriarch Benezia's boobs during a serious cutscene is just cringeworthy and immersion breaking.

As much as I like boobs, I completely agree. :D ...

But my point was more that you can get away with even highly sexualized characters, if in the right time and place. So you can actually satisfy (well that's a untimely word here) most people.

That's exactly the point, though. Character can be sexy without being sexualized. Sexualized is when you zoom in on Benezia's boobs in a highly tense and serious moment just to point out that she has great boobs and that you might want to have sex with her. If they did that without the ridiculous lingering, the player would just notice on their own "wow she has great boobs", without ruining the whole moment. That's the difference, imo.

To be fair, there is a heightened awareness for stuff like that these days... I personally never noticed Benezia's "great boobs" or that there was an overt emphasis placed on them when I first played ME back in the day. I can't help to think some people should take a step back from time to time, and take a look at them self before decrying a developer for "over sexualizing" their characters.
