Spandex is the ONLY way to enter a gunfight.

In all seriousness Miranda was a Biotic. Biotics don't need body armor.

Yes.  They do.

Biotics only work on kinetic projectiles.  It doesn't do sh*t against fire, toxins, atmospheric conditions, or radiation.  Heck it doesn't even protect from relatively slow-moving objects like a krogan swinging a piece of rebar or a varren chewing on your *ss.

In addition, biotics require concentration, not to mention energy (Alliance biotics have a much higher calorie diet than standard soldiers).  An unsconcious or even disoriented biotic is essentially helpless.

miranda, jack and Samara are top mark biotics, above sheperd and any other biotic on the team (if not in the game).

Jack is insane that's the reason she fight's halfnaked, Samara uses armor (with the obvious fanservice) but it is an armor, and miranda clothing, not spandex or leather, is some other material. (which may be ablative, have some kind of knetic technology, toxic and radioactive protection) as far as we know.

Considering Miranda can't successfully hold up the biotic barrier during the suicide mission, it's safe to say she's not at Jack's or Samara's level. Just saying.

I'm not sure any of them equal Shepard. If Shepard is a engineer he is the best tech dude if an adept the best biotic etc.

And actually the armor also helps against projectiles. Heavy armor especially, it's protection frequently stopped more than the shields in ME1. The lore on this never changed, they just ignored it for rule of cool. They flat out admitted the lack of armor was just for aesthetics and made no sense in the setting.

In conclusion, it's dumb and lazy. They just weren't interested in designing one more normal combat outfit for a squad mate. I don't object to Miranda's outfit, the black one is very sexy and I like to see her in it. It's the forced butt perspective with bad timing that bothers me more. With Samara, it's the weird gravity thing with her boobs. If you're going for sexy, at least try to make it not look like trash.

LOL.

I guess you're against breast enhancements... or women wearing pushup bras?

You have noticed, I hope, that the Andromeda trailer shows a new body armour for the female. I'd be interested in what the other members of the Fire Team will wear.... If I remember correctly, every squad mate in ME3 wore a different combat suit other than the members of the  alliance military.

Apart from all Asari and Shep you mean.

Doesn't mean they needed it.

Toxins and atmospheric conditions? There's masks for that, which Miranda had. Radiation? Armor didn't protect against that either in that one side mission in ME3. Fire? Sure, but even in that regard armor can only do so much against fire, cause that suit is gonna get hot fast.

Neither is an unconscious or disoriented soldier wearing armor. If you're a top biotic, there's tactical advantages to both wearing no armor or full armor. A full body suit of armor would probably slow someone like Jack down. Whereas someone like a Vanguard could get some use out of their armor, given their style of combat.

There was really nothing stupid about Jack, Miranda and Samara wearing light clothing, given their talents.

Not sure if you're serious or just stupid. Do you think biotic barriers can protect an exposed skin from radiation, toxin, fire or atmospheric conditions like winter?

No, I'm against crapping all over the lore entries by having high heels, skintight spandex, and exposed skin in hazard zones.

I'm going to disagree with that.  In DA style combat, sure I can buy being agile is a huge advantage.  When projectiles are flying at you at mach 2 dozen a little bit of agility is meaningless. But armor in the game is supposed to help with that.  That is the lore behind it.  when people pointed this out during ME2 they ignored it and said look over there a pretty girl.  But they never changed the lore on this. Armor helps vs all weapon attacks and being agile isn't going to get you out of the way of supersonic rounds.

There is no practical reason for this, its pure eye candy, a developer statement that they want the characters to look this way.  They don't deny it.

Whether ooh pretty is worth the immersion break some have is debatable, but it seems to work for them in sales.

In that case it's totally fine, we've established this. Half naked dudes = good. Half naked (or even fully dressed but wearing figure hugging clothes) women = BAAADDDDDDDDD.

I don't think we have.

Both genders should be half naked to let the biotics flow.

It's okay if you didn't realize it's a guy, that's what crotch shots are for.

I was going to say that this Kuja looks like Final Fantasy character and obviously his design wouldn't fit to ME and after I searched the pic he actually turned out to be character from Final Fantasy ;)

The actual picture seems to be cosplay though? (very well edited cosplay), so I guess that the cosplayer actually is woman although the character is not.

List all the half naked male characters in mass effect.

This is irrelevant to the actual issue.

It's not about men and women being equally 'exploited,' or whatever you want to call it.

Sure it's not. It's about having the same amount of dignity in their sexuality. Which is not to say "cover them all up!", as it was explained countless times over in this thread.

That really depends on what you mean by 'dignity.'

If by dignity you mean men and women should have equal screentime or equal acceptance of provocative sexuality, then no, I would say it isn't about that at all.

Because those things shouldn't be equal.
